Harrison Ford Wants You To Stop Asking Who Would Win In A Fight Between Han Solo And Indiana Jones

The hilariously outspoken Harrison Ford is at it again as he's revealed how he typically responds when fans decide to quiz him on who would be most likely to win in a fight between Han Solo and Indiana Jones.

Harrison Ford is notoriously outspoken but that's why we all love him. However, the iconic actor made it clear in a recent interview with Esquire (via SFFGazette.com) that he's sick of your dumb Star Wars and Indiana Jones questions.

Talking about what happens when he's approached by fans, the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny star revealed the one query that really drives him up the wall.

"Well, they usually ask me, 'If there was a fight between Han Solo and Indiana Jones, who would f***ing win?'" Ford says. "And I say, 'Me, a**hole!"

"I don’t want to f***ing make s**t up like that," he continues. "I mean, what are you asking me that crap for?"

Asking Ford in interviews anything that resembles a fanboy-like question about his two most iconic roles appears to be a recipe for disaster. After all, we're sure you'll remember what he said when one journalist queried whether he'd ever return to the Star Wars franchise as a Force Ghost.

"A Force ghost? I don’t know what a Force ghost is," he said at the time. "Don’t tell anyone. I’m not talking loud enough for your recorder. I have no f**king idea what a Force ghost is. And I don’t care."

The actor will soon join another beloved franchise when he plays General "Thunderbolt" Ross in Captain America: New World Order. That means Ford is going to be faced with all sorts of geeky questions, especially if the MCU's future U.S. President ends up transforming into Red Hulk.

Still, we'd be lying to say it wouldn't be interesting to hear from Ford on who would win if Solo, Jones, and Ross all went toe-to-toe!

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is set to be released in theaters on June 30. As for Captain America: New World Order, that's still scheduled for May 3, 2024.

"Yeah, #IndianaJones is back. But Harrison Ford has had enough with the legend stuff"

Maybe don't accept same old roles from 40 years ago?

I never understood actors that take on roles of a character and then despise every question and the fanbase that falls in love with the character. I understand them taking the role because of monetary reasons but at the same time that's like a cop becoming a cop for the money but despises being called upon to protect and serve. It's so strange to me.

@SonOfAGif - he's been answering these questions for almost 50 years. Honestly, I'm with him. I like Star Wars and love Indiana Jones and not only do I not care who would win in a fight, I care even less who he thinks would win in this dumbass hypothetical.

He's 80 years old and he gave us alot of entertainment. He doesn't owe us bonus entertainment with these inane dorky questions.

@SonOfAGif @SATW42 - I can see both sides and I guess it just comes down to personality. I just watched a short featurette with Peter Cullen (the voice of Optimus Prime since '84 in case you don't know) and he's eternally grateful for his fans and sends them so much love. Such a great, warm-hearted, and humble guy, and he's probably had to deal with even dumber questions than Ford for the last 40 years playing Prime, and totally comes off as someone who would answer ANY question he is asked, no matter how dumb (Ex: "Who would win in a fight between Megatron and Spider-Man?" Answer: Spidey (Marvel's "Transformers" Vol. 1 #3)). Personally I'd be the same way, but then I haven't really matured much mentally past the age of asking those kind of questions, so I'd NEVER get tired of answering them. But that's just me.

And let's remember that Ford is married to Calista Flockhart. Now, I don't know her personally, but I remember "Ally McBeal" and if she's even half as annoying in real life as I remember her to be in that show, then no wonder Ford is so cranky 😉.

Never thought of this before but now that he’s said it, I want to ask him.

Harrison Ford these days….

@AnthonyVonGeek - eh he's basically always been like this. Only viewed Han solo and Indiana Jones as roles for money. In fact the Carbonite scene in empire was only done because Harrison Ford was trying to get out of the role. That was basically a compromise since he wanted to get killed off and move on.

Indy wins, and I'll tell you why: Solo blasts everything that gets in his way. He doesn't fight anybody. Indy, on the other hand... he's always fighting, and if he can take multiple hits from that big dude by the airplane? Pssh. He can handle anything Han Solo throws at him.

That's a stupid question. Han not only has superior technology on his side, everyone knows Han fights dirty. After all, Han shot first.
