Possible Details Of Harrison Ford's STAR WARS EPISODE VII Deal Emerge

Jedi News reckon that Ford is now 100% locked in to return as Han Solo in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars flick, and even have some details on the deal he struck with Disney/Lucasfilm before signing. Apparently one of the stipulations was that he'd definitely get to play Indiana Jones again!

Jedi News are reporting some very interesting details on Harrison Ford's very hush hush return to the Star Wars universe. According to them there was a verbal agreement for him to return as Han Solo even before the Disney deal came through, and now the few wrinkles have been ironed out and Ford is a lock to reprise the iconic role. But that's not all -- apparently Ford has signed on to appear as Solo again after Episode VII. Here's the report in full.

Ford wanted to see the synopsis for his character's development over more than just Episode 7. He saw this in August and is happy with the story arc.

Ford wanted a commitment to Indy 5. He did not get this as there is no plot line or script in place. What did happen was an agreement was made wherein an outline would be developed by the end of calendar year 2014, and if all parties can agree to it moving forward, efforts would be made to move on Indy 5 for release before the end of 2016.

Disney wanted a multi film deal with Ford which transcends Episode 7. This has now been agreed.

Obviously until this is official, we have to treat it s rumor..but Jedi News seem to have legit sources. Thoughts?

Ford, Hamill, and Fisher are Star Wars. I wish Ford would stay on until at least Episode VIII.

Thank fvck. I was getting worried with that "Young Han Solo" news. But then I heard about how JJ likes to fvck with the fans. So it's good to get confirmation like this.
And more Indy. Why the fvck not? Sure people hated Crystal Skulls, but they hated Last Crusade and Temple of Doom, too and they sure warmed up to those. With Last Crusade it took about a half a decade for folks to start enjoying it. I'm loving Crystal Skulls already. It won't be long before the rest of the world love it also. So what if they're were aliens, it was set in the '50s. Sometimes people just don't get Lucas.
So another Indy? Fvck yeah, keep 'em coming. Bring back Mutt, too. Maybe not Shia. But definitely Mutt.

Just because Indy 4 wasn't great, doesn't mean every Indy forever will be terrible too. Keep making them, they'll get back on track.

With Kasdan now behind the desk writing I have some more hope for this. It has a lot of potential to really be special if they write it correctly. Crossing my fingers at this point thinking about the smile on my face when I see the next crawl and realize Han Solo won't be far behind. :^)

I actually think that an Indy 5 could work in a weird way. lol Shia's coming a long way as an actor and if you don't believe me check out his latest trailer for his upcoming film titled "Charlie Countryman" the Indiana Jones films aren't dark and gritty but I know that if the script is more polished next go around there may be a few things to look forward to.

I'm also anxious to see when this Uncharted movie is getting off ground. That has to be one of the best game trilogies I've ever played next to Mass Effect and God of War.

Bring on Uncharted 4 for next gen!!!! :D

"Not to rain on your parade or anything, but Chewbacca didn't get a medal because he refused it, since Wookies are too humble to accept them."

But that was not stated in the movie, leaving many fans wondering why Chewbacca didn't get a medal. However, he did finally get his medal--from Carrie Fisher, no less--at an awards show. I think it was the MTV Movie Awards.
