It is well known among fans of both the Star Wars and Star Trek sagas, as well by general public that the United States´s Commander in Chief is a huge fan of said franchises.

A few hours ago, and just in time for that tradition of asking for candies when dressed as your favourite horror or fantasy character, he twitted the following message via his official account:

Happy Halloween! pic.twitter.com/HXk2zd2F8z

A full-costumed Chewbacca and at least one Stormtrooper, both from the Star Wars saga created by Lucasfilm founder George Lucas are depicted in the photo.

Obama´s wife, first Lady Michelle, is also in the image, sporting a discrete Leopard-like costume, while the President doesn´t wear a Halloween related costume at all, though he is clearly enjoying the event.

It is expected that he and his wife will receive some Military people´s children to give them some candies (presumably the ones in the baskets from the pic).

You may remember a few months ago, Obama mixed the Star Wars and Star Trek mythologies, by saying he would use a "Jedi Mind Meld" on opponents, thus confusing the latter franchise´s "Vulcan mind meld" with the Lucas Universe´s "Jedi Mind Trick".
