STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Standee Seemingly SPOILS A Major Character's Turn To The Dark Side
IMAX has unveiled an exclusive standee for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and it may very well drop a pretty major spoiler about what's to come in the still very mysterious movie from director Rian Johnson.
There's been speculation for a while now that Luke Skywalker could be tempted by the Dark Side in Star Wars: The Last Jedi but does this theater standee confirm those theories? As you can see below, IMAX has released an image of their display for the movie and it features both the Light and Dark sides of the Force. The question is, why exactly is the iconic hero featured on both of these displays?
He certainly looks more than a little villainous in that shot on the right and it's interesting to see him there alongside Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma when his position is one you'd think Supreme Leader Snoke would be given. Chances are, though, that this is simply being done as a way to get us talking!
Either way, a turn to the Dark Side for Luke would be interesting and was first teased back in Return of the Jedi. Like his father before him, Luke has always struggled with his impulses and while many fans would be upset to see him become the big bad of the franchise, it would certainly be...interesting!
