The Skywalker saga is about to end on December 20, 2019 with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. As we get closer to the finale, more details keep popping up. First things first, this is not an official runtime, Lucasfilm has not shared this number yet. This runtime has been found on a theater that clocks the movie at a 2 hour 35 minute mark.

The theater not only shows the runtime of the movie but the premiere date as well. It is stating that the movie will launch on December 20, 2019. Confirming what many people were thinking already. However, we have to restate that this is not something official and the runtime should not be trusted.

However, many people have been discussing in social media that this runtime would make sense for Episode 9. The other movies in the saga have a similar runtime and the finale to the saga would need a lengthy runtime in order to roundup everything.

As soon as the official runtime is revealed we will let you know. As of right now, there is no official word. What do you think about this reveal? Does this sound accurate or is it just a theater having a placeholder for the movie? Let us know in the comments down below.

That is kind of long. But if it is good then it should be fine. Will it dethrone Marvel's Endgame to be the highest grossing film of all time?

@Forthas - No, it won't TLJ grossed 1.3 billion. Do you really expect it to increase 1.5 billion?

@Forthas - It's not touching Endgame or The Force Awakens for that matter. I do however expect it to make more than The Last Jedi.

@BiggerLuke - It is the final episode...Palpatine is back! That could be enough!

@Forthas - Coming from the guy who was certain DP would gross a billion.

Dude no offense but you know jack about box office.

@Jeight8 - Coming from someone who does not know what he/she is claiming. I wrote that I "HOPED" DP would make a billion. Don't ascribe something to me that I did not do.
