EA and Dice have today released a trailer for their upcoming "Rogue One: Scarif" DLC pack which is based on a planet which from Gareth Edwards' Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It was recently revealed that Season Pass holders will be able to get their hands on that on December 6th. Everyone else however is going to have to wait until a little later on December 20th. However, based on what we see here, it'll be worth it, especially as it should add at least a few extra months of enjoyment to the game.

Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic will be the new playable heroes, while the pack will include a new multi-stage game mode that spans land and space, along with four additional maps. We get a glimpse of that in the trailer below, and more will hopefully be revealed in the coming weeks. This is the final update for Star Wars Battlefront, and the sequel is expected to be released around this time next year. That will more than likely incorporate characters from the new trilogy like Rey, Kylo Ren, and Poe Dameron.

In Rogue One: Scarif you’ll battle across four new maps, including the sandy beaches of Scarif – an all-new tropical planet crawling with Imperials – which should look mighty familiar to anyone who saw the movie trailer. Know that incredible scene in the trailer where the AT-ACT is marching through the waves? That’s the one!

@JonTargaryen94 - they wanted to focus on the classic movies era which was a stupid decision they could've bring the prequels characters

@auditore - it was a very stupid decision. Part of me thinks it was Disney fault.
Part of what made SWBII great was the mere fact I could play as Darth Maul whilst slicing clone troopers to shreds.
