Arnold Schwarzenegger Shares New TERMINATOR 6 Details; Movie Will Reportedly Ignore GENISYS Completely
We recently found out that Linda Hamilton would reprise the role of Sarah Connor for Terminator 6, and now Arnold Schwarzenegger has shared a few more new details on what fans can expect from the movie...
In many fans' eyes, Terminator Genisys was the final nail in the coffin for the franchise - but the planned sixth instalment in the classic sci-fi film series might offer a glimmer of hope.
We recently found out that Linda Hamilton would return as Sarah Connor, and now Arnold Schwarzenegger has shared some more info on James Cameron and director Tim Miller's plans for the new project.
TheTerminatorFans.com have posted their findings from the An Experience With Arnold Schwarzenegger event at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham England, and the iconic star had some intriguing things to say about the direction this latest Terminator flick is heading in.
Schwarzenegger revealed that Robert Patrick will not be back as the T-1000. Patrick has previously expressed interest in reprising the role in some capacity, so perhaps we might see him in a future instalment of the new trilogy. We also have confirmation that the final title will not be Terminator 6 (no big surprise there), and that the film will completely ignore the events of Genisys.
This news could be divisive, because while Genisys was poorly received by the majority of fans and critics alike, some feel that those involved shouldn't be able to just continue on like it never existed. Indeed, it's sounding like this new instalment will actually be more of a direct sequel to Terminator 2, in which case Rise of The Machines and Salvation will also be swept under the rug.
