I got a chance to chat with
Bruce Boxleitner—who played Alan Bradley and Alan's digital avatar, Tron, in the original
Tron movie—at Disney's "Comic-
Tron" party last night and he said that he feels very protective of his legacy.
Brent Sprecher: Do you feel any ownership of
Tron since your character was Tron, as opposed to Jeff's character, Clu?
Bruce Boxleitner: Extremely so. And I told young Garrett Hedlund when we first started shooting, I said, 'You know, strangely enough, Garrett, this is a story about, sort of, passing the torch on, but I just want you to know that I just feel that'—and I didn't even know it would be 'Tron: Legacy' at the time because we had another title too—'this is kind of my legacy, so don't screw it up. And he laughed and I said, 'No, don't screw it up.' He's a great kid, he's great.
