In 1982 sci-fi fans were treated with arguably the greatest special effects based movie in the form of
TRON. The film stared Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner and David Warner. It went on to be a cult success for almost Thirty years before the highly wanted sequel,
TRON: Legacy made its way to the silver screen in December of 2010.
TRON: Legacy was a huge stepping stone for a possible franchise to start from a movie made twenty-eight years prior. Disney of course remained confident in the film giving it an insanly high budget of 200 million dollars. The film went on to gross over 300 milliom world wide(so far) and a sequel is seeming more and more possible, even with the mediocre reviews.
A
TRON fan page known as
TRON-SECTOR are reporting that not only is a sequel on its way but that a teaser trailer should surface within the next few months. The article stated that it will appear on the DVD and Blu-Ray releases of
TRON &
TRON: Legacy. The release onto Blu-Ray and DVD is expected soon as the cover art has already surfaced.
This is by no means confirmation and should be taken with a grain of salt until proven true.
TRON &
TRON: Legacy are expected to hit shelves on Blu-Ray and DVD sometime in Fall of this year.
