Funny Man Jack Black and writing partner/Director Steve Pink (how's that for a name combination?) have nabbed the film rights to author Dan Wilson's humorous survival guide "How To Survive A Robot Uprising". Steve Pink is the director of "The Hot Tub Time Machine". No word yet if Jack Black intends to use this as a starring role but the odds are fairly good he does. Author Dan Wilson is on a roll as it was just announced that his soon-to-be-released novel "Robopocalypse" is going to be Steven Spielberg’s next film. "How To Survive A Robot Uprising" is in the vein of "The Zombie Survival Guide" here's some more on it:

"If popular culture has taught us anything, it is that someday mankind must face and destroy the growing robot menace. In print and on the big screen we have been deluged with scenarios of robot malfunction, misuse, and outright rebellion. Robots have descended on us from outer space, escaped from top-secret laboratories, and even traveled back in time to destroy us. Today, scientists are working hard to bring these artificial creations to life. In Japan, fuzzy little real robots are delivering much appreciated hug therapy to the elderly. Children are frolicking with smiling robot toys. It all seems so innocuous. And yet how could so many Hollywood scripts be wrong? So take no chances. Arm yourself with expert knowledge. For the sake of humanity, listen to serious advice from real robotics experts. How else will you survive the inevitable future in which robots rebel against their human masters?"

I'm not sure what this movie will be like but it is certain it will not be a serious flick like "Robopocalypse". With Black and Pink in control I'm sure we'll be in for a treat. What say you?

@weaponxcustoms How does this have anything to do with Green Hornet?

@Dane
I think he was confusing that with the time a couple of years ago when Jack Black was attached to star in The Green Lantern. Obviously the story they had was much more different than the one they are doing now but it WAS true. It was more of a comedy than a straight forward superhero flick.

That or he's confusing Jack Black with Seth Rogen.
