SHAZAM!: Awesome New TV Spot Features The Hapless Hero Trying To Fly Just Like Superman

Yet another Shazam! TV spot has been released and it features Billy Batson attempting to fly just like the Man of Steel...with disastrous results! There are other new shots too, so check it out right here.

The new trailer for Shazam! was met with a mixed response due to the lack of reveals, but after repeat viewings, it's hard not to get on board with Zachary Levi's superhero in training.

Now, a fun new TV spot has been released which features Shazam falling through the sky and attempting to learn how to take flight, just like Superman. There are plenty of other DCEU references here too as we see various news clippings and one of Batman's Batarangs in Freddie Freeman's bedroom.

With Shazam! set slightly apart from the rest of this shared world, it will be interesting to see if references like that prove to be a lot of fun or somewhat irritating (all those Justice League toys in that department store seem a little forced, in all honesty).

Regardless, this is a movie that has a lot of
potential and there are a lot of great snippets of new footage throughout the entire TV spot, including a battle in midair between Shazam and the villainous Dr. Sivana. Check it out below and then be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

This doesn't just look like a good DC film, it looks like it could be one of the best DC films, ever. Imo.

Can't wait for this....looks fvkin awesome. Zachary Levi is gonna be a big star. The early reactions (which are embargoed) seem to hint that its a very good movie....along the same lines as Aquaman.

Oh my, quips, fun, and a family friendly vibe. Clearly not a film for my sophisticated adult palate.

@GeneralZod - Heh, that 70's Shazam show is actually now available on the DCU streaming app.

@GeneralZod - One of many reasons Saturday mornings in the 70s were awesome.

I think a big draw of this movie is the aspect of wish fulfillment. I'm confident that everyone here is projecting themselves on to Billy's character, thinking of how it would be if you suddenly had these amazing magical powers. This will appeal to kids and adults the like, which should make it hugely successful. At the end of the day, it just looks FUN.

Looks great and I loved his message about Captain Marvel (the movie) at the end of that.

sadly, i just don't think the humor is striking with me. i really like zachary levi. Followed chuck the whole run. I hope they are saving the good stuff, but i just don't get that feeling.
