The Rock: Captain Marvel or Black Adam?

He was possibly one of the most beloved wrestling stars, before he swapped to acting . Dwayne Johnson, aka, The Rock, has made a splash in Hollywood, and now he’s going to make a splash in the comic world. Take the Jump!

The man who re-invented the quizzically raised eyebrow has been approached by the makers of the upcoming Shazam!, but for what role, not even he knows.

"Shazam, of course, I would love to play. They approached me about Captain Marvel and villain Black Adam as well," The Rock advised MTV.com. "We've been meeting for months. We're toying with either one.”

Now, forgive me, but I am now well behind the “Rock as Black Adam” camp (join the The Rock as Black Adam! group on Facebook now!), but what has impressed me is the apparent consideration they are giving to the public.

Johnson, as he continued speaking about which role he would play, had this to say; "I think it's up to the fans, very specifically because they are passionate about the comic book, about the history and mythology of the character. They will be very vocal."

Can you smell what the Rock is cooking?

The Rock = Black Adam
Brandon Molale = Shazam
Shia LaBeouf = Billy Batson ?

Food for thought.
