Speaking to The Playlist about his film career, director Robert Rodriguez - who produced last year's Predators reboot and directed the film adaptation of Frank Miller's Sin City - updated the status on the proposed sequels to both films. He said that the script for Sin City 2 (penned by William Monahan) is 'pretty close' to being completed, and that they may have it soon. He also confirmed that he hasn't talked to Fox recently about the Predators sequel, and that he'll have to talk to them about where to go with the project.
On a follow-up to Predators...
I haven't talked to them in a while. I know they liked the idea of doing another one. I should probably call and check in. I've just been busy doing these other things.
On the Sin City 2 script...
We have a script for 'Sin City 2' and we just needed to round it out a little bit more, brought in Bill to try and solve some things.
Like before we had three different stories that we were trying to meld together and he took a pass at it for a couple of weeks and now Frank is doing his pass. We're pretty close. We might have it soon.
