Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige Confirms Michael Keaton's Role In SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING
We've long suspected that Michael Keaton will play The Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has finally commented on the Birdman star's role in the MCU.
I thought this had already been confirmed, but multiple sites are reporting that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has made it official that Michael Keaton will play The Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming. We've long assumed that he would take on the role of Adrian Toomes in the reboot, but many have speculated that Marvel could have secretly cast him as someone like J. Jonah Jameson.
There may of course still be something to theories that we'll see two versions of The Vulture (a younger and older version of Adrian or perhaps even someone else stealing the mantle), but for now, it looks like we can expect to see Keaton battling the wall-crawler while flying around the New York skyline.
"We’ve had a wish list and most of them in the near-term are coming together," Feige tells the Toronto Sun. "Cate Blanchett is playing Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. Michael Keaton’s Vulture in Spider-Man is something. And of course, finally, we’re showcasing Josh Brolin’s Thanos (in Infinity War). We’re looking forward to that very much." Are you guys looking forward to seeing him as The Vulture?
