Mike Deodato Jr. broke into the mainstream North American comic book scene with his work on Wonder Woman, almost twenty years ago. His style evolved a lot since then, and now he is considered one of the masters of his craft. Today he has an exclusive contract with Marvel Comics, and he's working with Jason Aaron on the latest Marvel Saga, Original Sin, where Marvel characters investigate the death of Uatu, The Watcher.

Mike Deodato Jr. has been posting on his official tumblr page some art from what he revealed on his Facebook it's for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Style Guide". Asked by SHH board member Nicko-Ray what that was, Deodato Jr. revealed that it's "a document that provides guidelines for the way your brand must be presented". When asked by the SHH board member if that means that the poses on billboards and promos were based on his work, Deodato replied: "Maybe, I dunno, man :)". Check it out Mike Deodato's gorgeous The Amazing Spider-Man 2 art below and make sure to visit his official homepage for even more of his art.

And you, what do you think? If there's one thing that everyone agrees about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is that Spider-Man truly looks AMAZING this time around, do you think that's partially because of Mike Deodato Jr.'s and Paolo Rivera's involvement developing the style guide book for how Spidey should be presented or it's just for the promo material that have been released so far? Sound off on the comment session below and make sure to like the article if you want to see it featured in the main page.

Official Synopsis:
"We've always known that Spider-Man's most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp."

The Amazing Spider-Man's greatest battle begins in May 2nd, 2014.

Great artist. First time I saw this guy's stuff was in Bruce Jones' Hulk. It was some story about Banner shagging Blonsky's ex-wife or somethin' like that. I mean, I'm pretty sure I was familiar with his work before that, but this was after he switched up his style, and I just thought it was awesome.
