First off, Gwen will be the love intrest, at least in my version of it, you can find out my reasons WHY I prefer this HERE.
What I REALLY want accomplished in this movie is to fix its mistakes from the last film as well as try to stay as clear from it as it can at the same time.
I want to explain how and why the heck Sandman became sandman, go into how long Gwen and Pete actually knew each other previous, and introduce possible latter villains.
Mary Jane has decided to move to Chicago to persue her acting/singing career(*Snicker* good luck).
Spiderman's mind frame is is simply trying to make up for the mistakes do to the black suit.
With earnings from his DESK JOB, he helps the Digoviches' (Landlord and his daughter) repair the apartment a little, even paints it. His land lord marvels at how peter was able to get those hard to reach spaces, even the ones on the ceiling (We can see him hopping off of the cieling with a paint brush when he hears them coming).
PETER: "Think of it as interest on all the times I've been late, and the time I was really a jerk to-"
"Think nothing of it." He replies, "You know, until THIS room dries. You can use the room upstairs." (Its a much roomier and nicer one then the cramped up one he was recently in). "Thank you sir!" Peter says.
He obviously still does his best to help people as Spiderman, and still attending classes with Gwen under Doc Connors'.
Doc Conner's has a friend from out of town named Michael Morbius, come and help him with an experiment.
Since Gwen and Peter are the two most learn'ed in the class, they're asked to help. Peter's main concern is that the symbiot is gotten rid of, and asks him about it.
Conner's says that yes its destroyed, but that certain companies extracted samples left at the construction building, THOSE are out of his hands.
Spiderman is upset to find out it’s in the hands of the company Michael Morbius works for, and isn't sure if he should trust him because of his history of leeching off of other men's research.
But Conner's says that he, Octavius, and Michael went back to far for anything to be pulled.
Gwen wants to know why Peter is so concerned about this symbiot. And he for the most part explains how against Conner's warnings, some of it got on him accidentally...
Flash back to it crawling on him.
Gwen:"..some spilled on you?"
Peter:"....yyyyyeah. Pretty much. It made me....sick...It made me...Say things I'd never say, DO things he'd never do. It brought out the worst in him the part we all try to suppress, destroy, because that’s the part of ourselves we usually hate."
"It made me say things to Mary Jane I didn't mean. Now she's gone, and it’s all cause of THAT!"

And he goes on about how, he bottled up so much inside of him for so long, trying to just be a good friend for her, because he thought that’s the only way she could love him back,
Peter stops himself, "Heh, I'm sorry, I'm boring you."
"No no." Gwen corrects, "Not at all." (Since that’s the way SHE secretly loves him).
Also, Spiderman is trying to find Flint Marko again, only not for robberies, but because he's been breaking in and entering, looking for clues as to how he got that way. All he can find is that it was a company called:"Mecha-Bio-tech." A place that Morbius works for. In fact the base of his experiments is to test transmutation; Conner's of course is in it for his arm cell regeneration. As it turns out, they were behind the science exhibit where Peter Parker got bitten.
Spiderman also finds out by some snooping, that Morbius was indeed present in the testing room when Marko fell in. He had heard that a convict was on their premises' and that Marko was nearing the pit, by camera.
They saw that he was in the pit, but he ordered them to not to stop the process so they could observe the results. He loves to see his work unfold before his eyes, and was certain that his genius had perfected the process so it could be harmless to a human. Unfortunately of course Marko DID mutate, BUT he came out alive and escaped. Morbius and his team had known this ALL the time he was running amuck in the streets stealing in SM3. Hoping that either Spiderman or the Law would put a stop to him so they wouldn't have to cover their tracks. Spiderman knows that Marko'll head for Morbius next and rushes to his lab.
In the lab Sandman is demanding to know where his employers are and WHY he's like THIS! Morbius of course says he knows nothing, and that there was some mistake, his company would never test on a human host. This isn't good enough for Sandman, right then Spiderman crashes' in. In a jostle, the experiment that Sandman interupted him in goes wrong. Michael turns into "Morbius"? And heads out of there. Spiderman gets up from the wreckage, to see Morbius gone, and the last of Sandman slipping out the window. Conner's and Gwen come in to see Spiderman in the midst of the wreckage. And as Spiderman flee's the scene, we see the animal in its cage who's DNA was used to conduct THAT particular experiment: BAT.
J.J.J. of course puts out that Spiderman is behind everything. Meanwhile Parker is desperately looking for Michael or Marko. He's nearly as intrigued as Marko now, knowing that HIS condition is because of the company that Morbius works for. He goes to a blood bank to examine his own blood to see if maybe there's a way to trace the mutation with the blood he donated before his Spider abilities.
Morbius' next appearance is ironically THERE at the blood bank, where he takes a "Withdrawal", from the bank AND the employee's at the front desk. Parker changes into Spiderman and has a cool fight in the blood bank warehouse. With a setting like this...
(But I beg of you, watch with the music MUTED, the music ruins the whole thing!)
All that’s left when the authorities (Led by Captain Stacy) arrive is again Spiderman fleeing the scene. This is a virtual FIELD DAY for the Bugle, "BLOOD SUCKING SPIDER! LITERAL or FIGURATIVE?" the headlines read.
Parker is now wondering how long he'll be able to keep his identity a secret. With the Law on a MAN HUNT for him instead of "keeping their eyes open for him." how long will it be till he's finally caught, or has to hurt someone to get away? He knows he might have deserved this before with the black suit but now people he knows: Aunt May, Gwen, Mr. Digavich, even J.J. at the Bugle will be under speculation because they KNEW him.
At Parker's house, Gwen is wondering WHY Peter is so avid in defending Spiderman? "Because I know him, he wouldn't do that!" Parker replies. Gwen isn't upset, just curious as to what reason he's keeping from her that Spiderman is a good guy.
She tells him she herself doesn't buy into the Spider crap, she tells him about the times when her father would tell her how he wished there was someone like Spiderman around when her mother was still alive. About how she really thinks he makes a difference,
"Why he acted so strangely with the black costume I don't know." She says,
"But he kept helping, even when we hated him. And then the paper retracted it, and it turned out he was the good guy in the whole thing. I'm sure it'll be like that this time."
Parker thanks her, "For what?" Gwen asks, "OH just for believing me I guess.....I MEAN...not many people believe me when I say Spiderman's a cool guy."
In trying to sit closer to Parker, he remembers how he hurt MJ in the bar
and says he has to go. He thinks he can’t have anyone in his life because they WILL get hurt; he slowly begins to wonder if people would be better off without him.
Gwen guess' right that he's just to hurt by the break up to move on, at least right now. Aunt May confirms this with her, who had been listening the whole time. She says to give him time.
Meantime Sandman is approached by an agent of Mecha-Bio-Tech. "How'd you find me?" He asks.
"We've been keeping tabs on you for a long time Mr. Marko." the man replies, "You, your daughter. Ever since you stumbled onto our project."
Sandman slams the man against the wall with a sand arm, "YOU DID THIS TO ME!" he yells.
"And we can change you back, no questions asked." the long haired agent replies, “Even throw in the money for your little girls operation."
Sandman puts him down, "What’s the catch?"
The man smiles, "Kill Spiderman, and Michael Morbius."
Sandman does the math, "You just want to tie up your loose ends."
"That’s right, Morbius is a result of OUR products. And Spiderman...well, he's digging a little too deep for his own good. Think it over Flint."
He says, and exits brushing sand out of his coat.
Next scene
Pretending to be interviewing for the Bugle, Peter asks the police at the crime scene/Blood bank if they found any traces' of SPIDERMAN'S blood at the crime scene. He's told to get lost by a cop, then Captain Stacy recognizes him as Gwen's friend and takes the question, plus he remembers that Parker was there the day of the incident and might have seen something.
"Good thinking son, but the truth is no..." (Parker mentally sighs in relief)
Then speaks up, "Sir the day I was here, I could've sworn I saw Some guy in a trench coat fly out the window RIGHT before Spiderman left."
"Where were you at this time Mr. Parker?" Stacy asks,
"Hiding behind one of the counters." Peter says pointing.
"You’re sure about this?" Stacy asks again. Peter says yes. Stacy asks, "Why haven't you told this to your boss?"
"I have sir, but he's sort of got a chip on his shoulder about Spiderman, I honestly don't know why."
Stacy grumbles to himself, "Most biased thing I'VE ever read."
Peter tries to hide his approval, "Excuse me?" he says.
Stacy the tells him, "Parker, I don't think either of us will have to worry about this getting into your Anti-Spider paper. We think that there were TWO here at the scene, and there was a struggle. Now who can STRUGGLE with someone who can stop a moving subway car form crashing?"
"Beats me." Parker agrees, thinking of Morbius. He catches the numbers on some of the bottles on the ground and remembers them. Then decides to leave, "I hope you catch who ever did this."
Parker does some research with Doc Conner’s after presenting his reasoning to why Morbius might be the one taking human Plasma. They do some snooping with what he found at Morbius' lab, and with what blood Morbius seemed to favor at the bank.
Conner's asks him why he didn't take this to the police or news? Parker tells him it’s because if it IS Morbius, there might be a way to reverse it before the police do something like kill him.
They discover that LIKENED to Spiderman, his body's been altered to the traits of BATS, "THAT MUST BE WHY HE WANTS PLASMA!" Spiderman thinks, as he looks up further and they discover that the plasma he favor's is a rare type, not many people have it. In fact only the people that have this blood type have been the ones reported "Missing." Conner's theorizes that it’s the traits some vampire bats have of actually having a safe spot creature, one it can always return to for REAL sustenance before it goes out to fly the night. It’s possible that he's abducting people of this blood type and keeping them for later.
Obviously they see who else has that blood type, "OH GOD!" Peter says, "Gwen!"
Conner's calls the police and turns to tell Parker to take his car and warn Gwen, but of course when he turns around Parker's already gone.
Spiderman swings to find her before Morbius does, to late, she's gone. But he knows where they've gone, he swings over to the Catholic College church thing that he dropped MJ off at in the 1st Spiderman. There he finds Morbius in a loft with Gwen tied up with other hostages of like blood type, some of them being children. This paticular wing of the church college thing is under construction so it’s open to the rain, and there's a cement pit right next to it for where they're expandig it.
He and Sandman find him at the same time, a fight issue’s but not favorably for Sandman, as it happens to be raining.
The fight is primarily between
Spiderman and Morbius. Sandman gets K.O'd because he gets knocked into the pit where he becomes part of the cement. Spiderman defeats Morbius the same way that Venom dies in the Spiderman game, falling on a pike (He's a vampire, come on! Stabbed through the heart works)
The police get there in time to see, the last bits of the fight, and can tell that Spiderman was protecting the hostages. Spiderman lowers the hostages one by one down to the cops. Sandman is taken way, by hazmat people to be analyzed. Before lowering Gwen down she thanks Spiderman again, for all he does, even when people demonize him. She asks if she can thank him, and she kiss' him like she did at the "Spidey-day" fair thing.
After lowering her down he swings off, and people cheer him on again, including Gwen. Spiderman knows now that it wasn't the spider bight that started all this trouble, if it weren't for that, allot of people would be dead, hurt, regardless. He'll always be there to stop that.
While its still lightning'ing outside, inside the Mecha-BIo-tech building, the man with long hair who talked to Marko is watching the storm. "Marko failed sir." He says.
"I know." Says a voice, "The hospital reports say he's so far unresponsive."
The long haired man continues."
"Good Smythe, that’s TWO loose ends tied up. Morbius WAS taken care of, but now the Spiderman will be even MORE eager to discover our doings."
"Shall I send for a professional?" Asks Smythe,
"Yes Alistair, call up Kraven." the voice says.
"Yes Mr. Tooms." Alistair Smythe replies.
This leaves off for a Kraven LIZARD movie next time around for SM5.
