Tom Holland Reveals Which Suit The Wall-Crawler Will Wear In SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME

In a video from the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Tom Holland has revealed which suit Peter Parker will wear in the sequel. Does it offer some clues about where in the timeline it takes place, though?

Peter Parker died in Avengers: Infinity War and while common sense says he will return in Avengers 4 next year, the fact Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out just a few months later is going to make marketing the sequel extremely difficult, especially as trailers will obviously spoil his resurrection. However, what if the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is actually set before the events of Infinity War?

This Instagram post from Tom Holland points to that being a possibility as the actor is rocking his original suit and not a new version or the Iron Spider costume. However, just because he's wearing it here doesn't mean that he won't get a new look a little later on in the movie, especially as it would make sense for him to get an updated suit in order to make it much easier for Disney to sell toys, etc.

What do you guys think of this first look at the Spider-Man: Far From Home costume? Sound off below.

I guess that's not surprising given that his original suit wasn't destroyed until Thanos snapped. I'm guessing that he wears it in the beginning of the movie before he gets an upgrade to the suit we've already seen:

@HeavyMetal4Life - I’d miss the smaller logo. It really helps set it apart from the other live action web heads.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Not a fan of the size of the logo in the suit above, but I really liked the removal of the black bands.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Yeah, there have been rumors since this art came out back in March 2018 that this will be his new costume.

This was artwork for a new promo that Disney Parks ran for the Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland.

@HeavyMetal4Life - If that really is the new suit, I really like that the black lines are no longer breaking up the red. Love the Homecoming costume, but that was one of the few things that bugged me about it.

I'm okay with him wearing the original suit again. Also let's tone down on the CG for the suit. On set he is actually wearing the suit but the vfx makes it look not real. The iron spider suit being all cg was fine but the main suit should look more practical.

@MrCamw1 - I feel like raised webbing would've worked a bit better, makes the suit pop a little. I remember reading something a while back that with a full red suit, raised webbing allowed it to stand out and not look like a mesh or something like that and as much I think the MCU suit looks great design wise, I feel like the lack of raised webbing RAISES some problems. Unless I'm mistaken on the reasoning.

It's obvious time travel will be used to resurrect all the characters that died in A:IW.

@emeraldtaurus - my therory/hope is of it's time travel involved that the characters that return are plucked from time that way we can still say OUR heroes are still dead.

@emeraldtaurus - time travel to the moment Thor throws the axe and instead aims for thanos head.

EMBRACE THE PRACTICAL SUIT YOU MADE FOR HOMECOMING PLZ, EVEN THO YOU DIDN'T EMBRACE IT THERE. There was so many unnecessary single shots [in Homecoming] where they CG'd it up when they didn't need to. The scene in Washington when he turns to Michelle and says "Uh don't worry ma'am" always comes to mind.

Embrace it or give him a new suit as an excuse to embrace another practical costume. Seriously, I just want to get a sense that he's actually there, he actually exists. Otherwise he just feels like a Hulk character (as in, something you know shouldn't exist in a frame but does).

That suit shown on those Disney or Avengers STATION-promo thingies has gotta be related to Avengers 4 or this movie. It looks way too-specifically designed for it not to be.

I've always been super confused as to why - having already designed spider-mans MCU suit, they didn't amke it practical to start with and CG'd over this weird rough version.

Never ever with any other superhero have I seen so much scrutiny about their costume's minute details, lol

Well besides superman about whether he wears underwear inside or outside the suit in the comics

And I guess batman's suits all get picked apart tho to me they all look exactly the same, regardless of the size of the bat on his chest

I guess this comes with the territory for A tier characters.

Wow! Spider-Man being resurrected or not is about as difficult a guess as to Superman being resurrected or not. It won’t be difficult to market this movie.

They’ve already said a bunch of times that the sequel takes place after Avengers 4. We just don’t know the details about how he comes back or his state of mind etc. They’ll market it without the Avengers references, as it’s own story, to get people guessing and asking questions, and then after Avengers it’ll start to make sense. And then, it’ll make even more sense after the movie actually hits.

@newhire13 - that was like 2 years ago the last time anyone said that things could’ve changed and they place it before A4

Why does his suit remind me of pajamas? I really like the suits in all the other non marvel movies much more.

I like the Disney Parks suit, but this movie is the perfect time for the Spider-man UK suit and Tom's actual accent.

As another poster said, please get rid of the AI and gizmo's. I'm not a huge comic purist as I know you cant translate one form of media into another without changes but the AI suit is just a step too far for me. He's supposed to be a self reliant hero who does it with minimal tech, not a bargain basement Iron Man.

I was fine with the design though.
