Learn More About Peter Parker's Homemade Suit In This New SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING VFX Reel

VFX company Sony Pictures Imageworks has released a brand new visual effects reel and a bunch of high-quality keyframes that give us an in-depth look at Spidey's homemade suit from Spider-Man: Homecoming.

One of the core elements that made Spider-Man: Homecoming so special was the final act which saw Spidey struggle to stop the Vulture from stealing the Avengers' old tech in his homemade suit. In the newest VFX reel, Theo Bialek, supervisor at Sony Pictures Imageworks, explains obstacles his team had to face to bring the suit to life.

Bialek’s crew has built a CGI model of Tom Holand so precisely and perfectly, that even the young actor was unable to find the difference (interestingly enough, a similar situation happened when Jon Fevreau, the director of Iron Man couldn’t tell if he’s looking at the practical or digital model of Stark's Mark II presented to him by Industrial Light&Magic).

Plus, Art Of VFX has released an insightful interview with Bialek and a bunch of keyframes from the final act of Spider-Man: Homecoming.  You can read the interview HERE and check out the video and pictures down below:

Just re-watched and I got to say that the final showdown looked so much better on my TV than in the theater. Could really appreciate the effects on that airplane scene;

I re-watched it Sunday and man....I really don't care for it at all. I'm sure i'll never watch it again by myself. Theres a lot of good but underwhelming is the key word here.

Entertaining for the kids, but not enough cinematic meat for adults to enjoy. Felt too much like watching the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. Hopefully he grows up fast. Maybe the college years will bring a more mature story.
