SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Prequel Comic Set To Explain What The Wall-Crawler Was Up To After CIVIL WAR

After battling some of the greatest heroes in the MCU, what adventures did Spider-Man have upon his return to Queens? A prequel comic is set to hit the shelves next year that will make up for the lost time.

After swiping Captain America’s shield, webbing up both Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and taking down Giant-man, alongside Iron Man and War Machine, the web-slinger must feel pretty good about himself. Following that monumental battle in Berlin, what did Spider-Man get into when he returned to Queens?

Since Spider-Man: Homecoming isn’t likely to showcase the adventures Peter had exactly when he returned home, a prelude comic will be released that fills the gap between Civil War and the highly-anticipated 2017 film. A listing on Amazon reveals that a paperback prequel comic, currently titled “Spider-Man: Homecoming Prelude,” will be released on June 20, 2017 (13 days before Homecoming hits the big screen). A description of what appears to be a two-issue series can be found below.

You adored his introduction in Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, you can't wait for his Hollywood Homecoming - now really get to know the Spider-Man of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this prelude to his big-screen solo adventure! By day, young Peter Parker attends high school and lives with his Aunt May. By night, he fights crime with wall-crawling powers and web-swinging tech - and he's destined to one day have an amazing, spectacular, sensational reputation as his neighborhood's friendly hero! Join Marvel's Spider-Man as he makes his first tentative web-swings towards a blockbuster future!

Even though the description doesn’t reveal much about the series or the film itself, I’m certain more details will arise as the film’s release gets closer. If you found interest in this, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will also receive a prelude comic, which is set to hit the shelves on April 18, 2017.
