SPIDER-MAN: Tom Holland Says He Was Asked About ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Role But Hasn't Heard Back

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was arguably the perfect opportunity to have Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield return as their respective versions of Peter Parker, but it never happened. There was no sign of Tom Holland's web-slinger, either, and the hope now is that they will be given the opportunity to lend their voices to the two-part Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Time will tell, but Holland has told SYFY he's keen to join Miles Morales' animated franchise.

"[I] love them and I’m just waiting for the phone call," he said alongside Spider-Man: No Way Home co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. "Guys, call us. Put us in your movie, we want to be in it. Amy actually asked me on the set of this movie and no one has come back to me."

After the MJ and Ned Leeds actors expressed their own desire to be in the Spider-Verse movies, Holland added: "I wanna be in them. Yeah, I love those movies."

If Holland, Maguire, and Garfield all get to share the screen in Spider-Man: No Way Home, then there's really no reason they can't be reunited in the upcoming two-parter. It all depends on how things wrap up for those characters in the threequel later this month, and whether any sort of cameo would have an impact on future live-action plans.

Whatever the case may be, it's about time the MCU's Peter meets Miles, though we wouldn't be remotely surprised if that's something Sony is looking to save for a future Marvel Studios movie!

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) is set to be released on October 7, 2022.

I guess that would be pretty cool but adding Garfield and Maguire would be even better.

I kinda hope he, Andrew and Tobey are in Part 2. With 2099, the emissary of hell, and possibly Spider-Woman and Spider-Man India Part 1 already has enough Spider characters. Hope we also get Spider-UK and Spider-Punk at some point too

Put the three of them in Part 2! Don‘t want them to steal the spotlight from Miles and the others

Personally I wish they had kept the spiderverse stuff to the animated movies. Like, all they can do live action that hasn't already been done is bring back previous interpretations like Tobey and garfield. And all three of them can be in across the spiderverse.

Not to mention a kraven story would've been so much better given the set up with far from home.
