Days Before SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Is Released, Andrew Garfield Once Again Denies Being In The Movie

The world premiere for Spider-Man: No Way Home takes place on Monday, but Andrew Garfield continues to deny reports that he'll return as his Peter Parker Variant in the threequel. Read on for more.

Andrew Garfield has had a couple of big movies come out this year, and that's led to the actor being besieged by questions about potentially returning as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home. He's continuously denied it, but that hasn't stopped reporters from asking again and again whether Garfield will be donning that familiar red and blue suit in the Marvel Studios threequel.

This time, however, it was Google that asked The Amazing Spider-Man star the big question!

Answering some of the "Web's Most Searched Questions," Garfield said this about potentially appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home. "Oh, you almost got me," he said with a smile. "No, no, I'm not." Feigning anger, the actor added: "I'm not! Crying out loud - but I'm really excited to see what they're going to do with the next movie because I just love him."

Once again, we're left with the nagging feeling that Garfield is actually part of the Spider-Man: No Way Home cast, though it's a secret that the studio is clearly doing its best to keep under wraps for as long as possible.

Unfortunately, word from the premiere probably will leak online, and it's still possible Sony Pictures plans to drop a new trailer or poster confirming both Garfield and Tobey Maguire's roles in the blockbuster. Either way, it should be a very exciting couple of weeks for fans of the iconic superhero!

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.

I genuinely think he’s enjoying this. D’Onofrio and other “secret” actors have found much more ambiguous ways around the question. Andrew is taking the piss. Which is hilarious.

@BestAtWhatIDo - I've also heard he's excellent in Tick Tick Boom (which I've been putting off, because Lin Manuel Miranda gives me a pain in the ass), so nice to see him presumably having a good year between that and trolling our sorry asses.

I really hope he gets invited to the premiere, and even then he's denying it (even at the after party, whether he's in it or not)

i mean theres a couple of options here

1 is this is the worst kept secret and leaks legit or not he still has a NDA to adhere to.

2 - they are not actually in it and everything has been faked .

3 - he technically is telling the truth and whilst his version of spider-man is in the movie he himself is not and its a stunt double and just the suit.

4 - holland plays the sony and raimi spider-men though this wouldnt make sense with doc oc acknowledging the difference and all the villains being played by the same actors from that universe.

interesting to see how it all plays out anyways and not long until the web ( ha web) is flooded with spoilers on every single post that ever existed.

@demonizer84 - Regarding point #4: Aes Sedai always tell the truth. It's just not always the truth you think it is. In other words, Marvel may have included that line in the trailer to play upon your own assumptions.

People are going to be so let down by this. Best case scenario they are in the film, but everyone knows about it and it doesn’t live up to the expectations people have built up in their heads.

@Twenty23Three - Unmet expectations are a bummer. Hopefully, after this, some people will get out of the habit of having expectations over things they have ZERO control over.

If he’s not in this movie then the internet will find a way to make this his fault even though he’s been telling us from the get go that he’s NOT in it.

He’s either a terrible liar or will deserve a hell of an apology for the constant harassment.

This is gonna turn out to be like Mephisto all over again. Or maybe he is actually in it and is a bad liar.
