Earlier this week, it was reported that Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature a scene with Spidey apprehending a robber moments before a Mysterio supporter throws green paint on him.
It's because of that Peter Parker is supposedly left with no other option than to turn his red and black suit inside out, hence why he winds up wearing a gold and black costume for part of the film. Now, the source of that rumor appears to have surfaced online in the form of some leaked footage (again).
This reportedly comes from an alternate cut of the first trailer (hence the voiceover), and it's a shame it was removed because the scene does a great job of showing how the public feels about Spider-Man now, Like his comic book counterpart, it appears he's about to enter "menace" status, with some people appreciating what he does as a superhero and others buying into J. Jonah Jameson's narrative.
If this is to be the status quo for Spidey in the MCU from here, then it will be no bad thing. Marvel Studios has taken a lot of liberties with this iteration of Spider-Man, so bringing him closer to the comic book version of the hero in this way is bound to be welcomed by fans of the character's adventures on the page.
