The first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home (finally) debuted online this past Monday, and quickly broke the 24-hour all-time record for most global views with a whopping 355.5 million, obliterating the previous record held by Avengers: Endgame.

It was quite a feat, and both star Tom Holland and the movie's official Twitter account have now responded.

The Peter Parker actor took to Instagram to highlight Variety's coverage of the news with the caption "it only gets crazier," while the No Way Home Twitter shared a clip made up of shots from Parker's visit to Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorum, acknowledging the fans who "made this magic happen" in the process.

While specific plot details are still under wraps, the trailer did give us a better idea of what to expect. We do know that Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature Spider-Man 2 actor Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, and TASM 2's Jamie Foxx as Electro, along with returning cast members Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori and Marisa Tomei. Benedict Cumberbatch will also appear as Doctor Strange.

Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield (among others) are expected to return as their respective takes on Spidey, but that's yet to be made official.

It's weird that I didn't like Far From Home at all, but I'm still pretty hyped for this movie (even if I'm not sold on the multiverse angle yet either)

This isn't my most hyped Marvel movie but I've watched the trailer a ton of times because of all the hidden stuff (sand, lightning, possible Lizard). Secret searching probably helped this get a ton of rewatches compared to a normal Marvel movie

Imagine how much money this would make if it weren't for the pandemic, jee. Probably biggest non-Avengers cbm.

I know that the hype is real for a 3rd movie and people like the Tom Holland mcu spiderman films so far, I've enjoyed them even if he hasn't stood on his own yet. However I don't think with numbers like these and the enticipation it can be overlooked, it's Tobey and Andrew's return that has EVERYONE smashing thw trailer buzzer. The villains are great cause we loved goblin and doc Oct but it just goes to show people are going nuts to see the spider-verse and even more so.. the OG Peter return. Very few mcu films have fiven me moments to that made me nearly tear up and feel emotions like spiderman 1 and 2 did. Tasm1 was pretty okay, I liked andrew.. just not the story.

I am SO SO SO exited to see Tobey back. I really hope Sony see this potential and tries to get them back for another film after this and doesn't kill Tobey off.

So, since many people need to see a trailer before determining if they want to see the movie, and since many people are not sure if they want to see this Spider-Man film, doesn't the higher trailer view numbers mean that there are more people who "need" to see the Spider-Man trailer than there were who needed to see Endgame?

I mean, these number are less of a reflection of how many want to see the film and more of how many want to see the trailer itself. I know for sure many people that I know didn't need to see the Endgame trailer because they already knew they were going to see the film. And some I know aren't sure about this one, so they need to see the trailer.
