SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Star Tom Holland Reveals Favorite Suit And Hopes To Don Classic Red & Blue (Exclusive)

Spider-Man: No Way Home is nearly here, and when we asked star Tom Holland for his take on both his favourite MCU costume and which one he's still hoping to don, the actor offered two amazing answers...

While Sony Pictures holds the film rights to Spider-Man, Disney remains in charge of merchandising, and there are those who believe this is why the wall-crawler has worn so many different costumes in the MCU. Regardless, there's no denying that Tom Holland's Peter Parker has worn a lot of amazing suits since 2016, and more spectacular efforts will be seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Some (the red and black costume) have definitely been better than others (the "Stealth" suit), but it's been refreshing to see the web-slinger rock so many different looks over the years.

When we caught up with Tom Holland earlier this month, we had to ask the actor two very simple questions: which of the suits he's worn in the MCU is his favourite and are there any from the comic books he still hopes to don? "I think my favourite would have to be the red and black suit," he said of the costume first introduced in 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home. "I really like it because I’ve worn it so much and I think we’ve really changed the image of what Spider-Man is."

"Also, the red and blue suit from Homecoming," Holland added. "The original suit for me holds a lot of nostalgia just because that’s where I started my Spider-Man career. I haven’t worn that suit in years actually, but I’d like to see if I can dig it out somewhere and try it on again."

So, it sounds like the actor is keen to take Spidey back to basics and put him in the red and blue. There aren't many fans who would object to that, and it's hard not to wonder if Peter might be inspired by any other Spider-Men he potentially meets in Spider-Man: No Way Home. That's yet to be confirmed, of course, but we can't help but think that might set the stage for another costume change!

We don't have long to go until we find out, but as great as the red and black looks on screen, returning to what worked so well in Spider-Man: Homecoming would be, for many fans, classic Spidey.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will exclusively be released in cinemas from December 15th!

Are you splitting each question asked into an entire article on it's own?

@autobot @TheBackpack - Yeah, I did think about just posting one solitary article with the biggest interview this site has ever had to save you guys clicking on individual, news-worthy excerpts to complain, but then I changed my mind. 🤷😜

@autobot - I'm surprised your comment didn't get deleted. He deleted mine when I called him out the last 2 articles for this interview. My comments were close to the top tho.

Was really happy to see *** was alive at the beginning. I honestly thought they were going to kill him after last week.

I hope so too. The Homecoming suit got close, but I thought that it was too busy with the black bands and such.

@tmp3 - I completely agree. He killed that scene in the dirt. I was hoping those three back together could pull it off, but I knew they'd never win. What I didn't see coming was [REDACTED] being a Judas lol
Culkin deserves it without a doubt

I recently watched Tom's interview on Hot Ones and that show has quickly become my go-to for great interviews. Not only is it hilarious to watch how the stars react as they bite into each hotter sauce, but Sean Evans is a really great interviewer and conversationalist. Tom was a real trooper as well and made it right to the end even though he was hurting by the end of it.

@bcom - it was great, just watched it an hour ago. Double dips! Fair play to Tom. I’ve been a fan of the show for ages and introduced my neighbour to it, last week he sends me a pic - he ordered all the show sauces and had them shipped to here in UK so we are having a wings night soon by looks of things. He gifted me the entry level bottle which they use for the first wing, it’s delicious but actually a bit hotter than I expected

I wonder how this one would have looked on screen instead of the full cgi costume in Civil War.

not saying the current costumes are amazing but going back to the classic outfit would be a downgrade

The impossibly skin-tight, CGI Civil War version of the red and blue suit is my #1. The darker shade of blue, smaller head, and muscles showing through were just *chef's kiss* leapt right from the comic pages.

Hasn't been the same since

@BB8ANG - yeah, that’s a great costume and looks great in that film. I felt it also looked really good in Homecoming too when they used the practical suit
