1. Bridge scene
Q: Why Spider-Man diden´t save other people in car on the bridge scene?
A: First of all, Lizard was thorwing multiple cars off the bridge and Spider-Man catches those cars 1 by 1. Clearly, Spider-Man could not save people while catching the cars. Also, most cars were empty. There were only 2 cars where people were inside(Jack car - Kid) and (Dr. Ratha car) and Spider-Man didn't know that until Jack father told that Jack is in the car.
After saving the Jack it clearly shows that Spider-Man had to escape because COPS came there. Do you think that Spider-Man wants to give himself up? NO!!!

1.1
Q: "Spidey goes down to try and help him, he unbuckles the boy's seatbelt and then tries to help him out. Then the car slips a bit and Spidey gives Jack his mask to wear as a symbol of power to inspire him to climb out. But when the car catches fire and slips through Spidey's fingers, Spidey simply webs the boy up and rescues him. So....why didn't he just web him in the first place?"
A: First of all, boy was scared. Spider-Man promest to take easy on him. Second, he was on first seat and if Spider-Man webbed him then JACK would stuck in there because it was tight in middle beetween first and last seats. Boy clearly had to climb up first.

2. Lizard had no motives
Lizard had plan and motives FROM START !!!
First of all, Dr. Connors said that world is perfect when everyone are equel. This means as human or as Lizard. In both way he had plan.
He hated his weakness (his missing arm). When he had a taste of power, he didn’t care what that power cost him. He just liked the feeling of power. (WOULD SPIDER-MAN GAVE HIS POWERS AWAY WHEN DOES NOT WANT DO? LIZARD IS SAME WAY)

*)When Peter met Dr. Connors at Oscorp and Dr. Connors left, then he said:
" Wonderful things are coming, wonderful things!" - This shows that he already making plan to make everyone equal.

*)When Spider-Man goes to sewers, then Dr Connors says in the camera:
"This is no longer about curing ills. This is about finding perfection" - This means it´s not about curing but finding new and better race. Why have a cure when you could have something more?
*)In school scene Lizard says to Peter Parker:
"All these souls, lost and alone.I can save them" - This clearly shows that Lizard wants to make everyone Lizard because then everyone are equal.

Also, when people say TASM Lizard plan sucks and X-Men Magneto or Sebastian Shaw plan rocks, then you fully wrong. X-Men Magneto and Sebastian Shaw both wants to make world without humans and make only mutants. See? Lizard plan is to make everyone Lizards. Magneto and Sebastian Shaw plan is to make everyone mutants. See??? I don´t get it, how people can be so stupid and blind? I guess fanboys ignore the truth like always.

Also, people say that Lizard had no motives and Green Goblin had motives. What was Green Goblin motive? He killed people, he got his company back but what was his next motive? (DO NOT SAY HE WANTS COMPANY BACK BECAUSE HE ALREADY HAD THAT BACK !!!). A whole movie Green Goblin had no motives at all. Doc Ock motives are also stupid, making a sun? WHAT FOR??? FOR HIMSELF?? AND THEN WHAT???

3.
Q: Why Lizard did not kill Gwen in Oscorp?
A: Same reason why he did not kill Spider-Man. Why would you kill Gwen, when in few moment everyone would turn into Lizards? Lizard said that just wait and see how you and everyone else turns into Lizard and live in better world.

4.
Q: Why Peter Parker broke Captain Stacy promises?
For 2 reason.
A: First - It´ has reasons. It ment for sequel movie. TASM writters said:
"We left you, in the last movie, to answer your question: Peter had decided to be all things. He was going to be Spider-Man and he was going to have that girl [Gwen Stacy]. That’s the territory this movie delves into."
"Every movie is about a main character and the complexities they face. But this is a Peter Parker story, and as we were just saying, when we left you in the last movie, Peter said, “You know what? I’m going to break the promise. I’m going to be Spider-Man, and I’m going to have the girl”
So immediately, Peter’s going to be faced with some massive choices in this movie. So yeah, it’s another Peter Parker story, about what he faces when he tries to have everything.

Second - Then Gwen Stacy can die just like in comics. Well duh, if he kept his promises, then Gwen Stacy would never died.
Spider-Man break the promise, then Gwen Stacy dies, AND THEN PETER PARKER LEARNS RESPONSIBILITY

Ask yourself, would you leave a girlfriend that you love a whole life, and girlfriend who wants you so much that can´t live without you? We all know you would say: NO
You can´t have a responsibility with 1 GOD DAMN DAY!!! PETER PARKER IS TEENAGER.
In Raimi version Ben died, and next day teenager Peter Parker has responsibility for no reason after mudering his Uncle Ben murder that who was no murder at all, and killing the sandman and lying to best friend Harry because you scared to tell truth. responsibility is not killing and lying.
So, stop this fanboy talk, open your eyes and don´t ignore truth.
If someone says TASM had errors, then why you IGNORING PLOT HOLES AND ERRORS FROM SPIDER-MAN AND SPIDER-MAN 2??? WHY???
1)Why Doc Ock throws car in cafe bar to kill Peter Parker and Mary Jane, when he need informatsion about Spider-Man from Peter Parker?
2)Doc Ock knows exaclty where Peter Parker is at the moment in New York city.
3)Green Goblin tries to kill Harry Osborn, yet later he says he care about him.
4)Spider-Man burns mask on train scene and when Doc Ock brings Spider-Man to Harry, then mask is suddenly new.
Oh right... i ignore those errors becuase i hate TASM and i love Raimi Spider-Man movies...

I know my english sucks but really, stop ignoring all the bad things from Raimi version and only saying how bad TASM was(even when you clearly not never saw movie)

I stopped reading when you suggested that Spidey didn't save people's lives because he didn't want to get caught by the cops.

He would rather let innocent people die then get caught by the cops? Where is the power and responsibility in that?

Also, learn to write more good. Especially if you are going to be posting articles on a site for the whole world to see.

Corndog, what innocent people? There were nobody else in cars!!!
FreedomFreeLife
FreedomFreeLife - 10/29/2013, 4:57 AM
And Spider-Man had no idea about Dr. Ratha.
So, again, what innocent people he can save when there were nobody else in car?

FreedomFreeLife - 10/29/2013, 5:01 AM
bazinga85, tell me, what sucked.
You can´t say music or CGI because it is not.
If you say some movie errors, i can bring 10 time more errors from Spider-Man 1,2 and 3.
Explain!

Amazing Spider-Man was fun to watch though not nearly as iconic or memorable as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man
FreedomFreeLife
FreedomFreeLife - 10/29/2013, 5:07 AM
Again, explain me why.
I mean Sam Raimi Spider-Man is not close to comics while TASM is just like Spider-Man in comics, i mean the real Spider-Man.
FreedomFreeLife
FreedomFreeLife - 10/29/2013, 5:08 AM
Batman and Robin are also one of the memorable Batman movies, but yet it sucks horrible. Cheesy as hell.
Bearjew
Bearjew - 10/29/2013, 7:43 AM
Dude It's just more memorable, it's classic and I'm sorry but it's good, it also has a more convincing villain. It's just relatable dude and it had pathos
Bearjew
Bearjew - 10/29/2013, 7:44 AM
also Uncle Ben's death was more touching and personal in Spider-Man
FreedomFreeLife
FreedomFreeLife - 10/29/2013, 8:30 AM
Well, Uncle Ben death was no touching at all because we saw Uncle Ben only 1 min while in TASM we saw 10 min.
Also, Uncle Ben was killed by Sandman who is super villain and connected to Peter. This alone makes story bad

Echoed.

"Amazing Spider-Man was fun to watch though not nearly as iconic or memorable as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man"

It was also not nearly as campy.

I agree with you;) most people think Spider-man, and Spider-man 2 is the best movies because they were like 6-10 years when they first saw it. Don't get me wrong! I really like spide-man 1 it's a really great movie.. not so much Spider-man 2.. but The Amazing Spider-man is my favorit! All mye friends and everyone I know really likes it. And I can't wait to see the next one.

I don't think Spider-Man just left people hanging off a bridge in their cars... pretty sure they just cut to the next scene because they didn't need to SHOW him saving everyone when it wasn't important enough for screen time.

@NPaMusic - hey, don't say "the rest of us", like you think everyone else hated the movie. It's okay that YOU hated it.

One thing I notice about people's arguments against Peter's motives and his lack of responsibility is they're mostly based on hindsight. In the real world we know how each choice he will probably turn out because we have years of superhero comics and movies that teach us basically the rules of being a superhero. But in the movie world he doesn't have that he's just a teen with incredible powers who learning along the way what to do with them.

Yeah idk about this. No offense freedom but these points aren't exactly what would change somebody's mind, especially the first one about getting busted by the police over saving the lives of innocents. Hell even in Spider-Man 2002 he saves that baby and the cop tells him he'd be there when he's done he's like naw too bad.. Jus saying

@pending The concept of being a superhero exists just not to the extent of our world. What I described is the template for most if not all superhero movies. The concept of learning how to deal with being a superhero only works if you can't just "google it". The only superhero movie where I remember real comics being a big part of the film is kick ass and he still had to learn a lot throughout the movie.

You know, I actually liked TASM, but this is the 2nd editorial in the past few weeks that has actually made me like it less. The only thing worse than a whiny fanboy is another whiny fanboy griping at whiny fanboys.

I think this article has great points.. and to start with I think you fellas in the comments should shut the f*ck up about his english, go learn a second language to the point where you can write entire articles flawlessly and then come back and talk shit.

if you want to compare the two TASM is a much more realistic version of spiderman and has far less plot holes and moments where you need to suspend belief than the Raimi series.

But the biggest point that was not brought out, is how the movie made you feel.

Cinema is part of the arts, and the biggest purpose of the arts is to inspire some kind of emotion. Neither of these films are documentaries, so getting facts right are not the most important elements of these films.

So now going back to one of those points. What's more epic in Spiderman 2, a car crashing through the coffee house, or the doc just walking through the door due to the fact that he doesn't want to hurt peter parker.

Another one here.. Sure it makes sense that the lizard had no need to kill Gwen, however it would have added loads more tension if he did attempt.

Raimi's style of directing is designed to have you suspend belief, and instead he spends the time pushing the sense of epic scale, which works in favour for a superhero movie.

Webb's style is more centred around exchanges between characters, and meet-cutes, and trying to do a bit of comedy.

In the end you'll have some people liking one and other people liking another.

I loved the Raimi movies as a kid, and I enjoyed TASM. But my main issue with TASM is that they didn't make use of the 3D to give you that sense of vertigo you'd feel over the skies of NYC. And when he was out swinging through the city, why was it always at night??

@FreedomFreeLife
Your article is a direct rebuttal towards the one I wrote a few days ago. Because it quotes my article verbatim in some places. That's fine of course because it's your opinion, I think that's where you fail to see what editorials are meant for. You have an opinion but you cannot accept the fact that someone else has a different one. You feel like your opinion = fact and therefore anyone who disagrees = blind, ignorant, etc. This article proves that, because you tell people to "open their eyes" to...YOUR opinion you try to force feed down their throats. Facts are, a lot of folks don't like this movie and nothing you do will change it.

That being said, you took my article as an attack against TASM. But I think you fail to see that I {FRICK}ING LIKE TASM!! Geez, you act like I'm a hater when in the article I stated the movie: Was better than Avengers, had a ton of heart and emotion, had great action scenes, better casting than Raimi's films and the climax evoked a form of child like awe inside me. Oh yeah, I sooo hate TASM. (sarcasm) Yes, Raimi's first two are better IMO but TASM is still good. Again this proves that you feel that if someone's opinion is not 100% the same as yours then that person is blind, ignorant and wrong.

Btw, I'm Fenix122 (changed the name, needed something fresh) remember me? We used to flamewar all the time ;)

But when you say why Spider-Man dident save other innocent people then how its opinion? There was nobody else in car... what innocent people he could save more?

Facts, facts and facts !!!
GuardianDevil
GuardianDevil - 10/29/2013, 10:29 PM
@FreedomFreeLife
Um...because he DIDN'T try to save anyone else. We clearly saw that Ratha fell too and while we know he's not innocent Spidey doesn't. And how can you believe that dozens of cars are thrown off and only two of them have people inside. C'mon...

You have presented NO facts, you present opinion and hail it as fact. And by the way in this particular case you are indeed wrong...do you REALLY believe that dozens of cars can be thrown off a bridge without any people inside?? Seriously, c'mon...

Your way of trying to force people to think and be exactly like you is making we want to hate TASM when I like it, you are ruining it for me. Just {frick}ing  FIGURE IT OUT that people think DIFFERENTLY THAN YOU!!!!! It's like you think you're a f%cking god or something.
