Ifans spoke to The Associated Press today about scooping the role of the villain in Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot. It was revealed a while back that he will be playing Dr curt Conners(The Lizard), but since it hasn't been officially announced he can't go into specifics yet it seems. Still, its the first we have heard from Ifans since landing the role..

"I'm constantly suppressing a very wide smile, [I'm] very, very excited about it.

"It's a great script, great director and the money ain't bad,"
he said.

Ifans will be starring opposite American-born and British-raised Andrew Garfield, who will of course be playing Peter Parker(Spider-Man)

"It is quite cool this one, to have Spider-Man and his villain both from the U.K.,

Shame he can't talk about the specifics of the role yet, but I'm sure it won't be long before we get all the official announcements out in the open.
