The Amazing Spider-Man 2's- Man In The Shadows Identity Finally Revealed

The identity of "The Man In The Shadows" finally revealed.

The mystery surrounding "The Man In The Shadows" may be getting a little clearer. As first reported by whatculture.com, we now have a clear idea of who this mysterious figure really is. A note here, whatculture.com is reporting the man is "Mister Fear" a common foe of "DareDevils" who does sometimes face off against our friendly neighboorhood spidey.

But, after digging a bit deeper, as well as contributions from fellow CBM users who have seen the film. I can now say whatculture.com simply misreported and his name is in fact " Mister Fiers" aka  (Gustav Fiers) -" The Gentleman" a very wealthy business man who has deep ties to  recruiting and putting together"The Sinister Six". In the film he is said to visit "Harry Osborne" towards the climax, and ask him about forming the SS. Asking about an update on the status of "Project Six". Now per usual, this is merely speculation. But, I trust my fellow users and others whom have seen the film. And we must take into account Marc Webb's comments months back about "The Gentleman".

With all of this in mind, what do you guys think? Make sure to sound off with your comments and questions, in the section below!

@mrcool210 everyone that's seen the film says whatculture.com misheard it "fiers" not "fear" and after doing my own digging Mr Fear is owned by Marvel last I could find.

Now tell Whatculture to edit their article LOL

True. Mr. Fear belongs to Marvel Studios, and before them was Fox (he's a Daredevil's character). Not Sony.

He's Gustav Fiers aka Man in the Shadows aka The Gentleman.

The title or teaser ought to indicate this has to do with ASM.

Come on, I've done one article, and with how easy it is, I have very low tolerance for people who can't take the time to figure it out properly. Just follow the tutorial. If it's important enough for you to report on, then it's important enough to report it correctly.

For anyone unaware of who exactly is 'The Gentleman':

http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/gentlemn.htm

I for one dislike the idea, but I'm not a fan of Webb's series to begin with, so this isn't a shocker that Webb may be moving towards something that I am not a fan of. Doctor Octopus should be the one to form the group, but as we can see, OsCorp has already created tentacles as well as it being OsCorp that is building the group, diminishing both important attributes to Otto Octavius(since he should be the one to even create the tentacles).

The man in the shadows is Nick [frick]in Fury!! He's been Loki after the events of TWS & he's using the same disguise BW used at the end with Pierce. The after credit scene is Nick approaching Spidey & tell him u think ur the only superhero in the world. Then at the very end of the credits it will read Spidey will return in TA AOU!!!

It came off that way. Not a big deal, I had to do this article from work, and I hadn't seen anyone else on here report it-so. Non the less, it's edited and hopefully enlightening for Spidey fans.

@GoldenOne33 I agree!! Some of the reviews are negative, but it seems to me the one's disliking it are the same one's who had gripes with the first. Also, I heard the final act is cream your pants quality stuff.

Thank you for adding that. I figured it was ASM, but didn't see anything in there at first, so wasn't entirely sure.

And if anything, since I said, "people who can't take the time to figure it out," I'm suggesting you rushed. I honestly don't see how it came off as insulting intelligence since I never used "stupid" or any synonym.

"Think about The Gentleman" sounds like misdirection to me, there's no need to be cryptic over something so seemingly obvious.

Mister Fiers, Mister Fear. It's sly, and believable.

@NoMore, there are a few incarnations of Mister Fear. One of them is an enemy in the Spider-Man universe.
