When Jared Leto was cast as the Joker for David Ayer's Suicide Squad, the fan response was positive and welcoming of the Academy Award winning actor. Then the reveal of Jared Leto's new visual interpretation of the Joker shocked many and had them questioning the decision of the Joker's new look. Filled with tattoos and metal teeth, the Joker image released by David Ayer sparked an outrage. Eventually, many of the fans got used to the look and are excited to see Leto bring the Joker back to the big screen.
In the brand new Suicide Squad trailer, for a very brief moment the Joker appears without the tattoos, without the metal teeth, and sporting a red make-up smile across his face.
