Joel Kinnaman(Altered Carbon) just might be on to something....
Even the most devout DCEU fan admitted that Suicide Squad's weakest link was the plot surrounding Cara Delevingne's June Moon/Enchantress. For the sequel, Kinnaman believes the film should just nix any depictions of magic altogether.
“It was a great set-up, great characters. I think when we do the second one I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a more grounded version of the film. The characters are so extreme it could be more effective if we saw less sorcery. I think the characters become more extreme if you see them in conjunction with real people.”
The former RoboCop star is currently out promoting his new Netflix sci-fi drama, Altered Carbon, which hits Netflix at midnight, February 02.Kinnaman also made headlines recently by admitting that he wasn't surprised by the allegations levied against his former House of Cards co-star, Kevin Spacey.
Gavin O'Connor (Warrior, The Accountant) will helm the Suicide Squad sequel for WB, which is currently keeping plot details under wraps.
