Promotional duties for the upcoming Focus movie have provided a great leeway for reporters to potentially get new Suicide Squad details from stars Margot Robbie and Will Smith, who will be playing Harley Quinn and Deadshot, respectively, in the 2016 DC Comics adaptation. During the recent Focus press conference, Flicks and the City asked the duo how much are they looking forward to reuniting on the project, and also how will their supervillains' relationship differ from their characters' in Focus. "I'm really looking forward to it," said Margot before Will chimed in, "I'm looking forward to it too, but I don't know what it's going to be character-wise." Margot then added, "We don't know what our characters' relationship is really gonna be [because] it's ever-changing." Will Smith proceeded, offering praise for Suicide Squad director/writer David Ayer. "It's really cool, the way that David Ayer works," said the actor. "It's all images, all ideas, and he holds the screenplay [pretty close] and he just keeps sending you things about your character. He just wants you to be prepared for anything." After reassuring that Harley Quin and Deadshot will be allies in the movie, both actors admitted that they don't know about Suicide Squad... yet. "We're not being secretive, we just actually don't know," said Margot Robbie, as Will Smith added that "[Ayer] only sends your character's stuff so you don't know what's going on with the other characters; I think he wants it to come alive on set." Later during the press conference, Will Smith was asked how Deadshot differs from his Hancock superhero, as well as his Focus character.

"I guess I like the concept of dubious morals," he started. "I always liked to play in that area [...]. With Suicide Squad, we just started on that. I think I haven't explored the psychology enough of Deadshot, somebody who could take money to kill people; how he justifies that for himself. So, I still have a little bit of work to do on that, but in my life in general and in my career, those are the type of roles that I'm pushing more towards; those kinds of questions." So looks like this will be quite deadshot and Harley centric, just like the animated movie. I really hope we get some batman action in it as well

It's really cool that the two of them will have worked together previously when tackling Suicide Squad. Hopefully that kind of chemistry and comfort will translate to their performances in the movie itself. A nitpick or two aside, the cast is phenomenal, so it definitely has that going for it.

I'm worried will smith's ego will ruin the film. It shouldn't bee too deadshot centric. suicide squad Is fun because of the team dynamic. Focus, no pun intended lol, on relationships. It should be like dirty dozen, Italian job, and heat in terms of team dynamic. I like gotg because even though it was essentially quill as the lead, it felt like everyone got their due, except gamers she was shit haha...the team dynamic was great

They need to make a Legion of Doom movie based on Forever Evil. Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam and Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor star along with other villains introduced in the solo films. Also, instead of Anti-Monitor being the one who destroyed Earth 3, its Darkseid.
