Are you sick of hearing about the "Ayer Cut" of Suicide Squad yet? Well, that #ReleaseTheAyerCut campaign is showing no signs of slowing down, and appears to be gaining more and more support as filmmaker David Ayer continues to drop more details about his original version of the movie.

After spending the past few days dropping hints on Twitter, Ayer has now clarified where things stand with his version of Suicide Squad, explaining that it would be easy to complete, confirming that the movie he made has never been seen, and that it's better than the one that ended up in theaters.

Those are some bold claims, and Ayer doesn't shy away from taking aim at Warner Bros. by mentioning that, "It’s exhausting getting your ass kicked for a film that got the Edward Scissorhands treatment." Clearly, the news about Zack Snyder's Justice League has empowered the director, and he's sick and tired of being blamed for a movie he's not responsible for.

It sounds like it would be easy for "David Ayer's Suicide Squad" to be released on HBO Max, but this could set a dangerous precedent, and may further embarrass Warner Bros. for inflicting their vision on filmmakers.

For as much as Leto's Joker gets. I loved seeing him go ballistic with a machine gun.

"We have a chunk, there's definitely over 10 minutes of material on there. But this cut of the movie is my cut, there's no sort of parallel universe version of the movie, the released movie is my cut.“

I much rather see a Josh Trank cut of Fantastic Four than a David Ayer cut of Suicide Squad

@MalseMarcel - josh trank is a worse filmmaker by far. If anything of F4 is 'his' then he should be blamed, as nothing outside of the actor of that film is worthwhile. His only film i could enjoy was Chronicle. Capone was very slow and i fell asleep trying to watch it and probably was not my cup of tea.

Ayer has done Fury, End of Watch, Bright(was an OK film), and wrote the Training Day screenplay. SS is bad, the villain stinks, it has both good and bad dialogue and the damn tattoos - because honestly i think all the characters look great without stupid tattoos. But we KNOW there are a lot of Joker scenes that are on the cutting room floor - and just adding those would make it worthwhile to see, as the Joker was played well in horrid makeup.
