MAN OF STEEL: "It's Not A Dark Movie" Says Henry Cavill

Fans are a little worried with how dark the next Superman movie could turn out to be. From what we've seen up to now, the film does seem to have a darker tone and a more realistic atmosphere compared to previous films. New Superman, Henry Cavill, reassures: "It's not a dark movie by any means. Past representations of the character have been quite light... This is a more realistic view of the character, while still maintaining the very unrealistic, or potentially unrealistic features of an alien with superpowers." Another issue that has worried fans is the level of action in the movie. Will we finally see a Superman show us why he's super? According to screenwriter David Goyer, yes: "There is more action in Man of Steel than any of the Dark Knight Films" Zack Snyder's Man of Steel finally hits theatres on June 14th, 2013.

I'm still not interested in this, but i like that he said something to differentiate from the dark knight franchise, at least he's trying to get out of the nolan shadow

Bring it on. I just want Superman to be able to show how powerful he is without having any stupid powers like the memory loss kiss, time travel speed etc. Superman doesn't need those powers. He's powerful enough with the powers he has. And that's what I'd like to see, the powers he ACTUALLY has and is known for!

That's reassuring. My biggest fear was that this movie would be a copy of the Dark Knight trilogy. Can't wait for the next trailer!

Good: I have no problem bringing in a darker villain, but altering Superman in that way wouldn't feel right.

Hay Hay lets not get out of hand here.im happy it has more action but its not gonna be an popcorn flick its gonna have some elements from Nolan's Batman's,i bett there's gonna be alot of politics in this and explaining alot on the worlds beliefs on an alien just in smart dialog.Like how Nolan's movies have smart dialog and the way its written makes it believable and quick so lets not expect an all out action to it,its gotta have heart and a message like how its stated in the trailer"If the world found who i really was they'll cast me out of FEAR,my father believe that the world wasn't ready yet..WHAT DO YOU THINK?-awesome.

Big Blue is a global symbol of hope, truth, and freedom in the comics...AND HE SMILES!!

Chris Reeve never let us down in this regard.

Stop saying Superman has never thrown a punch on film until Man of Steel. In Superman II, he fought Zod and his goons.
