Man of Steel has been my most anticipated film of 2013. It is probably to almost everyone. It being a Superman film, it will always get the coverage and the hype. But does it live up to it? Was Zack Snyder able to create a version that would make its predecessors proud? Does it take the genre to another level? In my opinion, both yes and no. It’s certainly entertaining enough to please blockbuster moviegoers and it will also please comic book purists. But I don’t think it does well against the Christopher Reeve classics.
