We already know that if Zack Snyder's Superman reboot is a hit, it will most likely lay the groundwork for a proper DC movie universe. We've also heard it hinted that other characters would even get a mention in the movie -- and now we may know who one of 'em will be..

This one comes courtesy of our old pal Jake Lester, who has had the inside track on the goings on with Man Of Steel for quite a while now. In the third trailer for the movie, the LexCorp building is glimpsed in Metropolis, but Jake reckons that won't be the only big business that's featured. This shouldn't come as too big a surprise, as if any other character was going to get a mention it was always more than likely going to be this one, but according to Jake Wayne Enterprises will be mentioned "in some fashion", and not only that -- Batman himself will be directly referenced. In what way? He doesn't know, but he says it will definitely NOT be the same character from Christopher Nolan's Bat-flicks, but a brand new incarnation to be used in WB's future Batman movies. Doubtful...but not impossible.

Superman is the first superpowered being/alien in this universe, but I guess Batman doesn't count as a superpowered being.

i dont think they refrence too much as it seemed very unclear while they were filming man of steel what exactly wb wanted to do with these properties so i dont think there will be many easter eggs at all ..

There will be some easter eggs not to many but enough. Who knows maybe they will insert an after credit scene that will blow us away (I can only hope)..

My wishful thinking mid credits scene:

Superman/Clark is at his apartment in Metropolis. He can't sleep...he gets up to go to the kitchen. Maybe warm milk...maybe a glass of water...maybe he wants some crunch berries... :)
A Batarang flies into frame direct hit on wall next to Clark... there is a note :"we need to talk" CUT TO BLACK

I would love a scene after the credits with someone's back to the camera talking to Supes about how he is not alone there are others like him etc.. And that there is a big threat coming and he needs someone to lead them!!!!
