UPDATED 8/23/10: New spoilers from TV Guide interviews with Kelly Souders and Laura Vandervoort:
- Laura says that Kara is returning in a "very heroic way," and it sounds likely that she will get her wish to be seen in the Supergirl uniform before she takes off.
- Kelly Souders tells TV Guide that Kara's outfit "will have evolved even a little more than Clark's. She's less Kara and more Supergirl."
- Kara will become a "media darling" after she saves the world doing a heroic save, so she has to take on the alter ego of Linda Lee Danvers (seen to your right).
- Souders says that Kara has input down the road in Clark's transformation to Superman.

UPDATED 8/10/10: There is a scene in this episode that takes place in a club.
- Oliver and Kara finally meet.

UPDATED 7/14/10: Laura Vandervoort's return episode is called "Supergirl."

supergirl should get her own tv series after smallville has ended,it could have loads of guest stars including zatanna,powergirl,wonder woman,black canary & so on.

it would be sucuessful if the stay loyal to the comic.

You know they've already jumped the shark that the "Smallville"-verse is full of superheroes before he dons the cape. It's a much better story when the strange visitor flies through the atmosphere and inspires others to follow.

@marvelguy - but with Smallville itself it is the origin of Superman & who inspired/helped him along the way to become one of the greatest superheroes of all time. You can only be as great as those who have made you great :)

Damn shame Supergirl becomes an established hero before Superman. I mean damn, he's the first Superhero ever created in comic, i mean even in the universe of comics they kinda hint that Supes was the earliest established superhero...and yet in Smallville they make him seem like one of the LAST superheroes. Oh well...I like Welling and his performances so I can't wait till he wears the suit finally. I've waited nearly 10 years for that moment

If you watch the first few seasons, the show has veered way off course. You missed my point. Superman is supposed to set the tone. How would he be inspired by all those second tier characters. Especially Hawkman. Did they pull that costume from that old Flash Gordon movie?
