"Superman Unleashed" Title Bodes Well for Sequel

A slashfilm scooper spoiled the title of the next Superman film, and with a name like this, it looks like Warner Bros is heading in the right direction with the franchise.

This passcode protected spillage is wonderful news for Supe's future in film. Just read the description on the title card. This is exactly what the fans have been hoping for.

Bryan Singer's reflective take on the Man of Steel with his "Superman Returns" movie was a disappointment to long time fans who wanted the helmer to give Supes something to punch. Bringing Lex Luthor in yet AGAIN as the villain was also a missed opportunity to delve more deeply into the DC Universe of badguys.

It is unclear whether Singer is attached as director--especially since his chosen title for the sequel was supposed to be "Man of Steel." But even if Warner Bros does do this one with him as helmer again, it sounds like they've listened to the fans about giving the franchise more action.

Our thanks to /Film and their awesome spys. Head over there for the whole story on how this came about.
