Superman4 gives his opinion on the story and cast of the next Superman movie

For the next Superman movie I think they should have Darkseid as the villian.

The story would go as follows. An increased gang violence in metroplise gets Superman concerned and as Clark Kent he and Lois are sent on an assignment to look into it. They soon discover that the gangmembers are getting high tech equipment for some where (this equipment would be like weapons that aren't from earth). The truth is soon discovered that a man named Desaad has been giving these gangs their weapons and it's revealed he is from another planet. Superman attempts to stop Desaad but his minions Mantis and Kalibak fight Superman so Desaad. Several days later large hordes of creatures called parademons attack metropolis. Superman puts a large dent in their numbers but another being arrives who calls himself Darkseid. Superman and Darkseid then do battle.

Of course this is only a summary to give you guys an idea of what I think the new Superman story should be.

Here are the main cast I would pick.

Brandon Routh should defenatly return as Superman. I thought he did a great job in SR.

Lori Loughlin I would cast as Lois Lane. She's pretty, and she's also not to young to play the role and she's a good actress.

Alec Baldwin is a fantasic actor and his voice is awesome.I like Marlon Brando as Jor-el the character needs to be given new lines so he can actually interact with Superman.

Michael Clarke Duncan would be a good choice for Darkseid. I mean he's a good actor and he's also a big dude that looks like he could take Superman one on one.

Additional cast Kevin J O'Connor as Desaad and Michael Dorn as the voice of Kalibak.
As far as the director goes I would pick Louis Leterrier even though he lied about Captain America being in the Hulk movie he's a good director.

I like to the story line, but hate to say this. The Justice League seris did something similar. InterGang did the same thing & one of DarkSides minions was supplying weapons to them & other gangs. Thou very similar, a little different. Good Pics. & please dont' take it personally, I am not putting it down!

Well since it was in the JL series, that's even better, it would be a good storyline for the next movie :) Very decent cast Sup4! I love Lori :))

Of course your picture of Routh was photo shopped because the suit is nowhere near that red :) Nice fix though :))

Darkseid would be a good choice but it would be better if they could put in a villain the has the power to kill the Man of Steel, a being that has already done just that, a being who is probably indestructable, a villain who the only way the writters could name him would be to name him as an event... Doomsday!!!

Darkseid has come pretty close to killing Superman. Doomsday is cool and all but it would be hard to have a good story line for him becuase he's just a monster that is programed to kill anything that moves. I'm not saying it's impossible but it would be difficult.

Darkseid may be the best villian that DC has created, next to Lex. It would be amazing if they could get a writer that understands Darkseid. Morrison's Crisis has been unbelievable with that character. Could we get HIM to write the next Superman? lol

Well i've proven here:

that Doomsday is not only possible but could also be very entertaining! Putting that aside, i love Darkseid and he would obviously be the best villain for an upcoming movie.
