If You Catch TMNT In Theaters And Don't Like It, Megan Fox Has A Message For You!

Check out what TMNT actress Megan Fox had to say in regards to people who may not like the new Teeange Muntant Ninja Turtles film during a press conference in Los Angeles to promote the film.

By jmartinez986 - Aug 02, 2014 09:08 AM EST

With the newest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set to premiere in theaters next week, the film's cast has been making the rounds to help promote the film. While out in Los Angeles, the cast, producers, and writers held a press conference to obviously, talk about the film.
Cinema Blend was present and picked up this little nugget of a quote after she was questioned about the fans who at one point or another have stated their displeasure towards her casting or the direction of the film/franchise.

"Let me tell you something about those people. How much money did 'Transformers 4' make? Exactly. Those people can complain - they all go to the theater. They're gonna love it - and if they don't love it, they can f*ck off, and that's the end of that."

Well, that's one way of saying one has had enough of the criticism/backlash.
That second part of the last sentence of her comments is what might upset some fans though.
Some might say, that she could have instead state that they would try to make it better the next time around and that they have worked really hard to make a good fun film.
But then again, in the heat of the moment one can always lose their cool.
This seems to have been brewing for a while now, as the film has been getting good reviews and there has not been that much criticism towards the film as of late.
Still, that might not sit well with fans who actually might go see the film and might leave the theater a bit underwhelmed.

Does that mean that if TMNT co-creator Peter Laird isn't too happy with the film he falls into the line of fire too? Given that he once stated in his blog that there were "hundreds of better choices for the role of April O'neil."

What do you guys make of this?
Will you go see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when it opens in cinemas?
What do you make of her comments?
Sound of in the comments section below and share your opinion on the matter.

Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtles premieres in theaters August 8th, 2014.

To people who make T-4 so high grossing: this is the type of person your money goes to. This echoes Bay sentiments that money is more important than quality ...and they are straight up gloating about it nowadays. They are laughing all of the way to the bank at the expense of nostalgia.

It makes sense, TMNT fans have been stomping her down ever since he casting(Not that I don't sympathize with them, Megan Fox within a beloved franchise film? Not really exciting given her acting chops), the film has been torn down constantly(Justifiable at points, given the early direction and script of the film), and most people haven't had the best confidence towards the film during its entire production.(Again, justifiable)

So I can understand, that after so much, someone finally blows their top.
And in that case, you can't find any fault with her response.

Although on the flip side on all of that, with the film, it's production, it's following, all of the reactions from TMNT fans really show to me, that TMNT fans are a vocally passionate fandom. They just want the best for what they love like any other fandom when their franchise is brought to the big screen. Turtle power my friends, turtle power.

While I feel she has a point, I also think she's one of those that needs to stop making statements.

Its a shame that people like this are who your money is going to - people who believe that if you have a varying opinion on a movie that you can go 'f*ck off'

Its an even worse shame that many people believe she is attractive, granted you are entitled to your own opinion but pretending that her being such a rude and arrogant b*tch is attractive seems silly to me.

@OniGoji

"So I can understand, that after so much, someone finally blows their top.

You just said the criticism on the movie was justified - in which case, yes, you can find fault with her response as she is essentially insulting people for legitimate criticism.

@Objectivelybiased

This guy gets it ^

Thanks for the message, Megan. I would happily [frick] off and watch GOTG for a second time instead of TMNT. Too bad TMNT isn't out here in the UK until October and I will have to go watch something else instead of it when it comes out.

I have never seen any Transformers movie nor do I plan on wasting any of my time watching a Michael Bay movie. I get to keep 2h30 min. of my life to do something else, you know, stuff that I actually enjoy doing.

Eh. So Megan Fox is kind of bitchy, and a little slow. How is that even news?
Next up on CBM.com: water is wet, and the sky is blue.

I've never given anyone any money to watch a Transformers movie, and its a trend that I see continuing through with the new TMNT film.

@Scarilian

Legitimate criticism, "at certain points", not every criticism thrown has been entirely legitimate or entirely justifiable. As there have been remarks that are simply heated overreactions than logical reasoning. Providing a constructive outlook from what fans hope to see, and how much they care, this can be done well without tearing at people's throats.

That is why I cannot find much fault in her response entirely, because certain criticism towards the movie(And her being) aren't justifiable, some have been harsh, nightmarish, and utterly hateful, and those remarks generally come from people who are mostly too hatefully blind to see the potential that the movie could possibly have if given the chance to prove itself.

So to me, after all this, she's just blowing off her top from all the mindless negativity that hasn't been entirely warranted over the months, a build up that has no doubt been boiling for a long time now. So it's not much of an aim towards fans, just the unwarranted negativity that has taken a life of its own. The type of negativity that no matter what good aspects are shown within a medium, people will still hate it simply because that is the accepted and expected mindset in doing so from the beginning. (Though she could have chosen a better choice of words.)

To clarify upon that, such views can be understood, but that does not make them firmly legitimate. At best, however, they are a misdirect protective form of passionate concern over their franchise that was expressed poorly(And let's be honest, all fandoms have been in this light before).
