The CW's The Flash is undoubtedly one of the most popular comic book tv shows around right now, if not ever. It's ability to keep comic book fans intrigued and non-comic book fans interested (trust me, I've spent many a time discussing the identitiy and motives of Dr. Wells with friends who had barely even heard of the Flash prior to the show's conception) is a big part of this. Don't get me wrong, the show has it's flaws, but its embracing and adaptation of the source material has made it something look to forward to every week. Now, with so much going on in the series I just wanted to bring forward a few thoughts and theories that I had on a few aspects of it.

Let's start with a few thoughts. First, it's become pretty evident that the show will be entering into the old 'time traveling' ring soon, with a lot of speculation being made regarding a possible Flashpoint Paradox story arc. Although a few people don't like the idea, I think it'd be amazing. Imagine the season ending on a cliff hanger of Barry changing the time stream. The beginning of the following season could be him dealing with the repercussions and attempting to return to his own universe. I think this would be a very unique and interesting way to go.

Second, everyone keeps talking about Wally West. It'll be exciting to see if/when they introduced him but I just have one question: Unless I've missed something (If i did, I apologize), where is Iris' brother aka Wally's dad? I feel like they've never mentioned Iris having an older brother and have always portrayed her as an only child. If that's the case, how does Wally fit in?

Now, that I've gotten those thoughts out, I have a few theories on where the show might be headed in terms of a couple characters. Let's start with the newly introduced Gorilla G
rodd. The Flash has plenty of great villains, with a handful of them being alreadiy introduced in the show. However, I think they are trying to set up Grodd to become the big bad of season 2. Captain Cold and the Rogues are great and all, but they're all about the heist. I can't imagine they could stretch out 23 episode long arc about the Rogues robbing bank. Grodd on the other hand is maniacal and definitely has the ability to become season's villain.

Next up, I got a couple theories on our favorite Team Flash members, Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon. We all know that Caitlin and Cisco are destined to become Killer Frost and Vibe respectively. But how? Well I believe the established Captain Cold and newly introduced Pied Piper are the answer. I have a feeling that, in Caitlin's case, there will be a mishap with Cold that will end up giving her her ice powers. This accident may even cause her to become slightly insane thus making her a villain. Now with Cisco, the show has done a good job to set up Pied Piper as his nemesis of sorts. My theory is that Cisco will altruistically begin to work on sonic technology in attempt to confront Piper. However, something will happen in the confrontation that gives him his vibrational powers.

Well, if you've made it to the end then I thank you. These were just a few thoughts and theories that have been in my head and I thought I'd share with the CBM community. Let me know what you think.

I feel with Wally they could introduce him as a step cousin. Like his parents were killed and he was adopted by Joe's brother. In some ways he's like Barry, but not as smart, more of a smart ass. About 18/19 years old. Oh, and if he gets powers, call him "Impulse" instead of "Kid Flash"

Only a matter of time...

@dannramm113 I think that step cousin situation could work. I also thought maybe he is significantly older than Iris and has been away because of the military or something. I for sure think they should go the Impulse route though. Maybe make a Kid Flash joke like they did with Speedy on Arrow.

@ImKennyPowers That looks perfect!

I had the same kind of thought. Wally could be Iris' cousin, something happens to Wally's parents and Joe is his godfather/guardian, so Wally moves in with Joe and Barry.

If Wally is 18yo+ he won't "need" a guardian, but if he's a few yrs younger it'd make more sense for him to move in with Joe and Barry.

And since Barry was raised by Joe and lost his own mother, it helps form a bond between Wally and Barry.

@BatmanFTW

Yeah it is. Someone posted it on here a while ago with some other Flash concept art.

I sinceriously hope that they're setting Grodd up to be a long arc villain!

Yeah like that route for Wally. It would make sense with everything they've established. I think a 15-16 year old Wally gives him the right enough age to be somewhat smart but still naive

@SeaborneLegend I would love to see that happen. I think he's the right villain to go with for some big plan to take control of the city type deal. Btw, nice use of sinceriously

@BatmanFTW @ImKennyPowers

He could have been adopted years back, just turning 18/19. They could explain his absense as him being in college or something. And again, do what they did for Roy and skip over Kid Flash. I mean, I know Impulse is Bart Allen's name, but I think it could work.

@dannramm113 yeah, i think that route could definitely work and is the way to go.

Oooh and if he was a cousin or somehow adopted they can make him be white with red hair and green eyes.

@tobeyoungagain

His sister is Lisa Snart aka the Golden Glider. She is already confirmed to be played by Peyton List. Sorry to burst your theory apart.
