Tom would be brilliant as a villian. One of those villians that you wouldn't expect.


Or he could play Plastic Man in a movie. I wouldn't have a problem with that.

Tom Hanks is a great guy and a fantastic actor, I absolutely think he deserves to play a hero despite his age, all it would take is the right changes to a superhero timeline.

I know its not a superhero role, but what about playing an old smuggling friend of Han Solo in the next Star Wars movie?

He could the original Human Torch. That is a superhero role where you are essentially isolated in your view of the world. And it would need some serious acting skills to pull off that whole lonely android in a human world emotions. Set it up as a period piece like the first Capt America movie. A Road to Peredition feel to it.

Or he could be the Martian Manhunter. I know idealistically the majority think that is a minority role but when he takes human form he chooses to be a white guy.
