As detailed elsewhere on this site, Warner and DC's plans for "The Flash" movie seem to consist of a "sci-fi element", involving other dimensions as well as a grittier, crime forensic lab element. This sounds suspiciously like Geoff John's recent run on "The Flash" during Brightest Day, involving a group of "Anti-Rouges" traveling back from the future to arrest police forensic investigator Barry Allen for murder.
Thus far Johns' take on the character has been fun and engaging, so it's hardly the worst basis they could use for a feature film. Here's hoping the movie ends up being as visually spectacular as the fantastic style in the latest run of Scarlet Speedster.
