Kevin Feige Dishes On Chris Hemsworth's portrayal of Thor

Kevin Feige says actor Chris Hemsworth's portrayal of Thor is immensely watchable and engaging and Chris can also represent Thor in the most compelling way.

When asked how Kevin Feige felt about putting a newbie in there to play The God Of Thunder, Thor:

"As new actors make their way into feature films, it is a rare thing to find someone who is not only immensely watchable and engaging, but can also represent a timeless and key character from the Marvel universe in such a compelling way. We have been watching Chris hone his craft over the last several months and due to his persistence and talent he rose above everyone else embodying the actor we were looking for."

Also as a side note, if Star Trek writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman were able to make a pre prequel Star Trek film with Captain Kirk's daddy they would jump at the chance. Kurtzman states, "As long as he plays the part, there could be an entire 'Star Trek' movie devoted to the heroic adventures of George Kirk."

I am very very curious about how this is going to look.

I saw Star Trek and loved it. I don't remember how George Kirk looked but he didn't exactly strike me as the beefy type.

I think they should go with the classic look for the first Thor movie then in Avengers go with the Ultimate look.

i saw Star Trek this past weekend already knowing that Hemsworth will be Thor, and from the moment i saw him, i felt in love with... .(Ahem!!) i mean, i really liked his performance.. for the next minutes, i totally forgot about the FX and the imminent collision of the Ship, and i DID focus on what he and his wife were talking about.

I am about to have my first baby with my wife, so that scene REALLY got me. Kirk´s bittersweet laughter when she suggested his dad´s name almost made me cry, knowing he was sacrifying the MOST precious thing in his universe, in order to save the crew.. GREAT performance. (and of course great script, but this guy,

i repeat, made me forget 100% the awesome SFX of those minutes and then the " STAR TREK" logo came out following the Ship´s explosion and the tiny excape-pods flowing.... WOW°!!!

A Human emotion-acting, made this super SFX scene 1000 times better.

They could use that old school chain mail looking armor when he is amongst the godly realm. When he gets to earth me thinks they should change it to something a little more fitting for super hero works.
