Promo art for Thor: Love and Thunder has revealed a first look at the film's three leads, including Jane Foster's transformation into the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Mighty Thor.
This version will wield Mjolnir, and is wearing a costume and helmet that are very similar to the character's comic book counterpart. However, the key change here is that this Thor is a brunette, something that arguably makes more sense than Jane Foster's hair becoming blonde each time she transforms. That worked on the page because Marvel Comics initially kept the Mighty Thor's identity a secret. In the MCU, there's really no need for this...and we can't really imagine Portman as a blonde!
The God of Thunder himself has a new costume that appears to be primarily gold and blue, while Valkyrie's updated outfit can also be seen here.
How Jane comes to wield Mjolnir is a mystery to us right now, but should Loki tear open the Multiverse in time for this film, that could explain how she finds herself in possession of Thor's old hammer. It's also possible that it will be reformed from the shattered remains we know are on display where Odin died (this was revealed to be the case in set photos).
