THOR: RAGNAROK Director Taika Waititi Reveals His Amazing Idea For THOR 4's Opening Scene

Thor: Ragnarok passed $500 million at the worldwide box office yesterday and director Taika Waititi unsurprisingly already has some ideas about the direction he'd like to take the fourth instalment in.

Taika Waititi clearly enjoyed working with Marvel Studios on Thor: Ragnarok and Kevin Feige has to be happy with the fact that the threequel is currently on track to earn as much as $900 million at the worldwide box office by the time all is said and done. The question is, will the filmmaker return for Thor 4? That remains to be seen but he's revealed in a new interview that he has some ideas.

Those include an opening scene which would feature Jurassic Park stars Jeff Goldblum (The Grandmaster), Sam Neill and Laura Dern all in a play which would retell the events of Thor: Ragnarok

"It would be awesome if we somehow got Laura Dern in there, as well," he said. "Thor 4, exactly. All of them go back and do the play again. It’s a new play about Asgard’s destruction. That might be a great way to start that film." Neill obviously played an actor playing Odin in the movie and Waititi revealed that he wanted to put them both in a scene together but their schedules didn't allow it.

How would you feel about Thor 4 opening like this? Let us know your thoughts in the usual place.

Jurrasic Park reunion? Why on Earth not?

@MosquitoFarmer - I would love for Thor 4 to have a play scene retelling the prior films' events. That could be the running gag in the Thor movies.

@SonOfAGif - You don't want to overdue, or at least they have to keep ahead of the curve. One of the reasons it was so funny is because both previous Thor movies started with tellings of Asgardian history, so this movie took that and played with the idea in a different way.

Then have Star Lord pop in to take over.

Introduce him on some other realm

Just to keep this possible (if Disney buys Fox)

@Kevwebsz - rip black bolt :(
While T'challa might not have always been an official member up until the end - he'd best take Black Bolts place as the leader to a secret "people"

@Kevwebsz - Namor for Villain in Black Panther 2

MrMasculinity - 11/10/2017, 5:23 AM
@Deonox - Namor is one of the most powerful characters in Marvel. He goes toe to toe with the Gulk and has taken on the FF at the same time. The fight would last 3 seconds.

@AbidNaga - Having Anson Mount show up, not say anything, refuse to go along with the plan by shaking his head, and then leave, wouldn't be out of character or require a lot of exposition.

It shoudn't be that hard to pull off either, as I suspect he's going to have some free time in his schedule fairly soon.

@MyBeard - I feel like they would be a bit reluctant to use the inhumans within the MCU again after the show. That being said, I feel like Anson is great in the role so if they ever reboot the inhumans within the MCU I hope they keep him.

@Kevwebsz - And with the chance of a Fox selloff the Illuminati just came one step closer to reality...
Anyone wonder why Cumberpatch did mention the Illuminati during an interview back when making Strange... did he know talks were going on way back then (or that Marvel was at least pursuing it)?

@MrMasculinity - Sorry i'm late to this but, Panther and Namor fight all the time in the comics. It's more-so a fight between Atlantis and Wakanda. Namor's powers greatly fluctuate all the time. An T'challa recently killed him by dropping a plant on him. I can see a war of kings making for a great Panther movie

A bit off topic : Man, i just want the asgardians to survive, those poor people have gone through a lot. Now on topic: more jurassic park cameos/reunion is just fine and fantastic by me, specially under taika's helm.

1 Billion ? Odds are going up

Great news for Thor Ragnarok and Justice League from now until Star Wars there are no big movies coming out. It will give both movies a lot of time to make a boat load of money.

Thanksgiving Weekend you only options will be Thor Ragnarok or Justice League
