THOR: RAGNAROK Favourites Korg And Miek Will Return In A Future MCU Movie Confirms Kevin Feige
Korg the Kronan and his little insectoid buddy Miek turn out to be a great double act in Thor: Ragnarok, and Kevin Feige has now confirmed that there are plans to include the pair in a future MCU release.
When you finally see Thor: Ragnarok, don't be surprised if Korg (voiced by director Taika Waititi) emerges as one of your favourite characters in the film. The Kronan gladiator - and to a lesser extent, Miek - are responsible for some of the biggest laughs in Marvel's latest, and there's definitely going to be a demand to see them show up again in The MCU.
Fortunately, Kevin Feige has already confirmed that plans are in place for the pair to return - though he doesn't specify exactly when that will be.
Here's what the Marvel Studios boss had to say during an interview with Fandango:
“We have plans for Korg and Miek. When and where we’ll have to wait and see, but we, like the audience now that they’ve seen them, can’t get enough."
Taika Waititi then added that there have been discussions about some sort of spinoff, possiblly even a new Marvel One-Shot. "We were talking about doing a little spin-off,” he said. “Like one of these One-Shot short films with Korg and Miek… like [them] just going shopping and things.”
Without going into spoiler territory, the ending of Thor: Ragnarok does seem to suggest that the former Sakaar fighters could play a part in Avengers: Infinity War, but we'll just have to wait and see.
