Most of the promotion for this movie has so far focused on Chris Hemsworth as Thor but I was hoping for a promo poster featuring just his mighty hammer Mjolnir. Well, we haven't got that yet but we do have this standee snapped by one of the guys over at Marvel Movies FB page..

Like the(now in focus!) standee says, Thor hits May 6th. Not long to go now folks.

@Dahamma- They're different shades of red. But Iron Man is more associated with yellow in the fonts and whatnot. Or yellow and red.

LOL

thats too much, haha.

They could have done something a bit more real but with a great background, so the viewers could feel like they could take it.
Rango

why is marvel going berserk with Thor campaigning and treating Cap as a foster child?They did the same back in 2008,heavily concentrating on Iron man and screwing/neglecting TIH.End result Iron man made $600 mill wee while TIH less than $270mill.

Maybe they have lost faith in Cap as a saleble product and decided not to invest an extra dine in promoting Cap TFA anymore.
how much time does it take to a cut a frickin 2 minute trailer?Something is wrong at marvel studios..

@f4rell

yeah, except from the font of the tittle, this seems like a movie for kids.

They could have done something more adult/dark looking

@frog

That would be too late.Remember how they screwed TIH.Currently Cap TFA is a sureshot recipe of a bomb.(which I wud never wish,I want all the sequels)
1. Released just after sureshot box-office frenzy HP 8 and before Cowboy & Aliens.Internationally competition with well established big brands like HP and Transformers.
2. Flop Director and a set of flop actors(flop=box office performance of recent films).Atleast C & B can be sold in the name of Jon Favreu and Daniel Craig.

3.Hardly anybody knows about the film,even the die hard fans like us haven't got any trailer yet.

March is striking 9th today,yet no trailer.

Rango, you must be an idiot if you think Marvel would spend as much money as they did on a Superbowl TV spot and then let one of their crown jewel films fail. Just because new stuff on the Cap movie isn't coming out at a pace YOU like doesn't validate your worthless opinion. Grow a brain.

Holy Crap! Thor vs. Paul Bunyan! Pretty sweet though. It'd be cool if Chris Hemsworth popped out of it at the premier.I'd prefer if Natalie Portman did but she might be too far along by then and you don't want her water breaking inside the hammer.

"why is marvel going berserk with Thor campaigning and treating Cap as a foster child?"

Maybe because Thor is CLOSER? Ad campaigns always ramp up when it's only a few weeks away. (Only 7 weeks internationally, 8 weeks for the US).

Captain America doesn't come out until near the end of July. 19 weeks at the moment.

If the films were coming AT THE SAME TIME, you might have a point, but they don't, so you don't.

Relatively speaking, they're not that off in terms of their PR campaigns. The first official, public Thor trailer (not counting the leaked Comic Con promo) came out at around 21 weeks before release. Should the Cap teaser come out this week, it'll only have been a two week difference between trailer and release for the two films.

Plus, counting how many pictures for Cap they've released lately, it's much more than Thor had at the same time away from release.
