Guess this was filmed before JMS fell out with Marvel! :P Great find DCMF - I'm kind of less excited for the release of the blu-ray now as I assumed that this special feature would be more than just a minute and a half...unless this is a shortened version of course!

@deadpool I didnt know Kenneth did that scene, I read nothing about it, thought it was something they threw in at the last minutes which they did, so basically it really was the tie in to Thor even with the director.

Yeah I kinda want that Mjolnir really bad... When I watched this scene in the theater, I KNEW it was directed by Kenneth Branagh from the camera angels. He always does these weird angled shots.

@ Superguy1591 - Batman and Supes is very different thing from Tony and Thor. And Batman always has something in store if Clarks turns a littel bit on the bad side. Superman could never kill Batman, as we all know.
And when it comes to Thor and Superman duking it out; Superman is on a completely different level Thor.

I just had to say it! Now to the most foulest thing I will ever say on this site; does Thor has a version of DC's Secret Origins? I thought I'd catch up to Marvel's biggest heroes; Capt'n A and Thor! Wow, cant believe I just said that.

1. Superman is vulnerable to magic Thors powers are magic based. They are similar in strength and toughness. Ultimately Superman would fall to Thor. Add to the fact that Thor has how many more thousands of years of fighting under his belt?

2. Superman could kill Batman from outerspace while Batman was sipping on his morning cofee in his mansion. Superman would never get close enough to batman for him to use kryptonite against him.

@ Fairburner - No. Thor and Superman is no way similar in strenght and durability. Superman is superior in every single way, and is also a greater force for good. Thor wouldnt stand a chance. You can say otherwise but it would be a life. Yours claim is a false axiom.

When it comes to Bats vs Supes, Bats is smarter. Waaaay smarter. Besides being the most powerful superhero, Superman isnt no way near Bruce's intellect and intelligence. Bruce always has a plan b, c, d, e, f et al.

My main reason for commenting on this article was that I wondered if any Thor fans know of any good Thor introduction comics for me to read?

So Supes loosing the ability to use his powers (including that silly "invulnerability" power being null & void) doesn't necessarily make him vulnerable? Right, that makes complete sense ...

Now regarding the "Superman is worthy of wielding MJolnir and once he gets that hammer away from Thor, Thor is finished! Plus, Supes is stronger, faster, quicker and smarter than Thor. " comment.

As seen in JLA/AVENGERS, Superman was able to lift Mjolnir when the situation called for him to wield the hammer and take out Krona. However, Superman attempted to lift Mjolnir again ((to give it back to Thor) after the fight is won and cannot do so, indicating that he is in fact according to Odin's enchantments, unworthy of wielding Mjolnir.


I can agree that it is conceivable that Supes is stronger than the Thunder God, but if so it is not by a great difference and therefore not a significant advantage. He may also be faster, but relatively untrained in the skill of hand to hand combat, making Thor the more experienced and efficient fighter. Not to mention that unlike Superboyscout, Thor will not hesitate to use extreme and deadly force towards killing your f.u.c.k.i.n.g ass.

Superman is a guardian, a protector and a symbol of peace and justice.

Thor is a Viking warrior god. A being that thinks himself above humans (mortals) and therefore is flaud. He has a bad temper and quite a bit of power and magic to cause some serious damage. He could use the magic in his enchanted hammer to put a hurting to the man of steel.

This fight would potentially last for days and whoever would turn out the winner, would barely be able to stand still.

But the argument can certainly be made that on a good day, Thor could potentially take out Superman.

@angelus Pick up the Walt Simonson graphic novels to get a good grip on some classic Thor tales from the '80s. There are 5 of them, but you can pretty safely skip number 4. Also, the Straczynski graphic novels in two parts will catch you up to Thor's more recent events.

And just so no one forgets, it's fiction, the author can make anyone win in any fight. It's just a question of how believable that is. Thor vs Superman is believable either way.
