Marvel Studio's will be having their hands busy assembling new ensemble teams and groups moving forward in their shared universe, as not only are we expecting The Marvels in theaters on November 10th of this year, but as well as the Fantastic Four, and of course, The Thunderbolts.
The Thunderbolts will feature a plentiful of fan-favorite character's from previous Marvel Cinematic Universe installments - including Black Widow stars Florence Pugh and David Harbour, playing their character's Yelena Belova, and Alexi Shostakov (Red Guardian).
While any news regarding Marvel Studio's projects have been more or less cut-and-dry in light of the persistent Hollywood Strike, David Harbour has been vocal recently about what's in store for his character, and how he personally likes the film's script in a recent interview with the Happy Sad Confused Podcast.
Unlike the stars of other anticipated Marvel projects, such as Mahershala Ali having been disappointed with the original script for Marvel Studio's Blade project, Harbour states the script for The Thunderbolts is "really great".
Additionally, the actor goes on to say the relationship between both Alexi and Yelena is both funny and satisfying in an emotional way, which should be enticing to watch after how Yelena practically resented her father in Black Widow, as well as how it will chronologically be 8-years since they have seen each other between Black Widow and The Thunderbolts.
Of course, it will be interesting to witness how all members of this rag-tag group get along as a whole.
A world without Avengers doesn't mean there's not a group of superheroes. There is a group and they're called The Thunderbolts.
The Thunderbolts team will star Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier / White Wolf, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr / Ghost, Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova / Black Widow, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian, and Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov / Taskmaster, all reprising their roles from previous MCU projects.
The Thunderbolts is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 20, 2024.
