Hey, as I was browsing digg.com, I saw this news of "Thundercats." So I had to post this. Check the link below for more info.

In conjunction with our coverage of Comic-Con 2009, Movieline has obtained O’Flaherty’s never-before-seen Thundercats concept art, demonstrating just how gorgeous and ambitious his vision for this production is. After the jump, you’ll see Thundercats renderings of Lion-O, The Pyramid, Third Earth, and Mutant Attack.

no way a big name actor puts on that much prosthetics

Nice designs. I don’t mind that Leon O looks more feral, I think it’s actually an improvement. And I also don’t mind that no known actor would wear that much make up, as long as they choose someone good that likes the series and its characters.

I wonder why movie studios always feel the need to deviate from the template of the source material? It's as if they have to put their own stamp on something even if it's perfect the way it is...

The nose looks like the lion from The Wiz! Stick to the human nose and the hair should be longer...hopefully this is just a first draft!

I'm surprised people like it. I'm a major fan of Tcats and I honestly can't stand this. It just barely resembles Lino-o they could of done a lot better than this.

Are you already stupefied? I loved the original dearly, but I think making a race of CAT-people look more feline is a SMART move. I think it's genius.

BaronBubba it's doubtful you were a fan of Thundercats. I am a fan of the show and especially a huge fan of the newer more adult comics which all had a great look. They made Lion-o look stupid now and to top it off they ruined his uniform.

It's "doubtful"? Okay, just because I was BORN in 1988, and as a result had to watch re-runs of the show growing up as opposed to "a true fan" who watched it since it came out, and haven't read the "newer more adult comics" does NOT mean I am not a fan of the show. Although I was young, I knew I hated Wily-Kit and Wily-Kat, thought Bengali and Lynx-O were kick-ass, and that I didn't care for the Lunataks that much.

So before you prepare to say I'm NOT a fan, think twice before you assume. Just because I like a modern re-imagining of a classic toon from my childhood, doesn't take away the love I had for it growing up.

Oh, and one more thing: "and to top it off they ruined his uniform."

It's called concept art for a reason, ass.

They better not screw this up, and, hopefully, they'll be smart and put a little star power behind the characters.

First I saw the fan-made trailer on you tube...... let me just say, Vin Diesel better get a call for Panthro.

I'm thinking Jessica Biel for Cheetara.

Josh Brolin for Tigra

Frank Langella for Jaga

Paul Walker for Lion-O

IDK..... just some thoughts. I think Brolin would add a maturity to Tigra that he had in the original cartoon. As far as the rest, I think they'd fit well, and, it's getting tough to pick people that aren't already associated with a comic movie. :)

LOL Kevin Nash as Mumm-Ra. :) Big Bastard would tower over everyone the same way that Mumm-Ra did in the cartoon.
