According to a recent report from Deadline, Paramount Pictures wants a Transformers Cinematic Universe. Wait, didn't we already (partially) have that with the four Transformers films made under Micheal Bay? Kind of, but according to this report Paramount is trying to negotiating a deal with Akiva Goldsman, so that he can work with Michael Bay, exec producer Steven Spielberg and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura to make a "multi-part Transformers sequel, and come up with potential spinoff films." If this deal is made Goldsman won't write the scripts, instead he'll have an "oversight role to secure writers and hatch the movies they’ll script." Paramount Pictures are pretty confident with these plans, especially since Transformers: Age Of Extinction made over a billion dollars and was the highest grossing film ever released in China! Transformers 5 is set to release in 2016 and Mark Wahlberg says he's "committed" to star in that film. If these plans go right, that film could be the start of it all! How do you feel about these idea? Sound off below with your thoughts!

Hmm, so this universe is going to be a continuation of the one Bay started? Damn, was hoping to see Iron Hide come back and kick some Decepticon ass.

You should add in your title "Paramount Pictures To Create A TRANSFORMERS Cinematic Universe With BATMAN & ROBIN Writer"

Funnier and you'd get more views.

Reboot w/ G1 and move through the material...there is tons to pick from. Somehow they just have to bar Bay from the room..

So... They will have a Optimus-Prime movie, a Bumblebee-movie and one movie for the each and other Transmoron and finally they will all come together in a Avenger styled action movie where all the Autobots fight a common enemy, and it will be called "Transformers"? Or are they really thinking there is something else from those movies besides the robots and Megans ass that are worthy of more screentime and a deeper back story (that woould work for a Megans ass-spinn off, or a reebooty.. ha! )
The only thing imo, that would work is a movie about the time way way before they ended up on earth. An all robot space war movie.

Why do people in Hollywood insist on copying each other until the audience is tired of the films?
Christopher Nolan: dark & gritty, reboots

This is literally the last site on the internet to report this news...and it's not even by one of the editors (meaning no offense whatsoever NightWatcher). Just seems weird that they didn't report on this news themselves when it first broke.

I love to hear people complain about Paramount continuing to make Transformers films even though the reception is terrible, although the majority of them go out and buy tickets to see the films. Going out and paying money for a movie that will most likely be awful, only to complain about how much money they make is very counterproductive.

Just an observation.
